Are you guys selling spectator passes on site? I’m in town that week visiting family but I’m heading back to Edmonton on Saturday morning so I might stop by on the Friday.
Yup!
But the price will be higher than online, and subject to availability (if we’re full, no pass for you!
Err…has it been determined that singles start on Friday or Saturday?
Can someone verify my above question? I need to know whether to prereg for a spectator or competitor pass as I’m leaving vancouver on saturday morning.
compete killey
Are you expecting singles to start, and end, on Friday alone? Because that’s not going to happen. If you leave Vancouver on Saturday morning, you are going to miss a LOT of singles regardless.
Anyhoo… I’ll just quote this again.
Sorry, maybe there’s a misunderstanding here. I’m in vancouver this week visiting family and my flight leaves on saturday. I’m just trying to take advantage of the fact that cc lines up with my visit. I’ll just reg for a spectator pass seeing as how friday is primarily for exhibitions and not singles pending attendance volumes. Thanks.
Hello guys.
I came here to Vancouver to go to school and did not think there would be any SF tournaments. Seeing that I came here to go to school I am on a limited budget but it has always been a dream to participate in a tournament. I lothe to ask this but… is there any chance I could borrow a fight stick from anyone going? I don’t know if I can even get one on such a short notice.
I already sent a mail out to all craigslist posts I found about cheap fightsticks but again sorry guys. Im desperate.
Madcatz will have a booth on site with some great deals. You should be able to find the stick that’s right for you for about $80-$120
My experience has been that there is always someone willing to lend a stick during pool matches! Just make sure you’re not a douche and just leave it on the station or something, make sure you give it back directly to the person!

Thank you for the replies guys!! I will definetly look into just buying a stick. I might do that if I find one that is resonably prized. Also if I meet some friendly people I might explore the possibility of borrowing one. I’m just very reluctant to do so I know how people feel about their sticks. I do have one at home and damn I know how one can just love that thing!!
Again thanks guys and take care!!
I was wondering if I did get a stick if I would have any difficulty maybe just selling it again. That’s an idea. Wonder if it would be hard to sell a brand new stick in Vancouver?
I took a bunch of photos on Sunday, mostly of SF4 finals, and then team finals.
