Well like I said, a good amount does go to the horrid gameplanning by Reid. It’s like they forgot Arizona was on the schedule.
I have no clue why he abandoned the run…especially since that wasn’t a problem last week when the Ravens started handing us our asses in the first half. My best guess is that he was worried about the ability of Reynalds and Bell to run block. Other than that…I honestly can’t think of any reason why, it just seemed random, even for the fat man. We had a great ration last week, with more runs than passing and then this week…idk.
As for Vick being average in the pocket…yeah I guess. Honestly when he isn’t making rash decisions, he has pretty solid accuracy and his arm is great. Problem is, 9 times out of 10, if Vick has a pocket, no one was open this game. I think he should run a bit more because honestly, unless we’re desperate for that first down, he’s safer running it than he is in the pocket. Hell, most of his injuries last year (and this preseason)? IN THE POCKET. He’s fighting way too hard to be come a pocket QB. It’s why I wish Donovan was around the team so he could help Vick out more, because he understands the progression from Run First to Pass First to Hybrid. Unfortunately Vick does not have as much time to develop himself like Donovan did.
All and all, my take is just terrible discipline. A good game CAN be called if properly motivated, just no one was motivated for this game. We had a great game plan in Baltimore which only really got derailed by one bad Vick pick and two completely fluke fumbles and fluke second pick. But the problem this team, not just the players but the staff, has and has had for a while, is just a very BAD tendency to get disinterested and complacent. There’s just no discipline, and for the most part this goes to Reid, but also we just don’t have the leadership in the team either. We don’t have the Dawkins to rally everyone up. I mean, Demeco’s doing a decent job but he just got to the team this year. And offensively, just too young to NOT need leadership, especially with DJax. Right now, the problem lies in every single person in the organization and team. Not just Reid, not just Vick, everyone. If they want to do well, they need to dig deep QUICKLY, because we got the Giants on SNF next week.
Im not in the mood to hear to be at the whine festival at the office tomorrow. Yes “ref sux” but honestly that was a hold by the corner though. That nigga was pulling his jersey the whole play
i dont know what happened to my post, i posted this same exact thing last time i posted, it somehow vanished, i think refs making me slam my keyboard had something to do with it. im not even a ravens fan, but this shit pisses me off…
yea but that call was wrong, within 5 yards you can do whatever u want, so it wasnt illegal contact, if anything, it shoulda been pass interference. and then that personal foul call afterwards and like the bajillion phantom calls and no calls all game just add gas to the fire.
