2012-2013 NFL Discussion and Fantasy - TornadoFlame vs Travis - The rest of you are bandwagoners

I was about to go to it but decided not too. Falcons first string look good. But are subs could use alot of work.

Defense still needs improving.

To answer your questions:

#1) We’d have to vote on it. there’s 23 other people playing, and we’d need to make a decision in both leagues. Personally, I don’t like PPR, but that’s my vote…

#2) ESPN only allows two choices, draft order set by league manager, or randomized by the computer an hour before the draft…

man, the packers signing Cedric benson, just seems like something i never thought i would see them do. i hope this guy pans out for us, i honestly dont like him. but he is probably better than anything we currently have.

I’m not a fan of PPR.

Tacos.

Oh well. :coffee:

Told you :coffee:

Now here’s a question, is this the end of Chad Johnson’s NFL career? I mean, when the Dolphins are cutting you in Week 1 of Preseason…yeah…time for him to go Arena.

That vagina just cost him his job and his freedom. Evelyn? More like Evil-Lyn.

I mean, Chad could have went along with the sanctity of marriage thing he signed on for. I realize that may be too much for a pro athlete, but he could always have not gotten married in the first place if he wanted to take full advantage of jumpoffs.

I vote no PPR

Oh and LOL at Chad Johnson

Chad should’ve kept the Ochocinco name. Could’ve used it as an alias to evade the popo.

Chad Johnson claiming that his wife headbutted him, not the other way around. I can actually see that, bitch wilin out flailing and shit and just WHACK. He’s never really been in trouble before this, to my knowledge, and you know these bitches be after that NFL paper and will do ANYTHING to get it.

Not sure who’s telling the truth in this one. Athletes get competitive about everything, including women, so if he found out she was cheating, he coulda flipped. Then again, this chick was 100% after some paper, whether or not this is a part of that scheme I don’t know, but you can’t tell me she was with Chad for his personality.

It wouldn’t shock me at all to find out that the charges get dropped and the bitch tries to sneak off and find another athlete to pay for her shit.

so will cam newton improve upon last year or will he suffer the dreaded sophomore slump?

So… Chad to the Raiders?

Sent from Hueco Mundo using Garganta Talk.

I think he is for sure going to slump at least a little bit. I mean teams have a full year of tape on him now and should cover his running a lot better. I still think he will do fine but I doubt he will improve numbers wise at least. If he does improve on his last years numbers though then watch out NFL.

Heres the problem with Cam Newton , take away the 2 Tampa Bay games last year which accounted for 4 Rushing TD’s against that worst Run Defense ever.
And for this he never had to throw ( 40 total passes in those 2 games ) so 0 int ( he did have 17 last year ) . And take away the Indy another bottom 5 run defense ( his next less throwing game which he has no INT ) and his numbers are good but not great.

Is he going to throw for 4,000+ ( possible ) run for 700 w/14 TD’s ( no he is not , unless he has some bad run defenses to play against ). And teams will adjust to him.

I think from a fantasy standpoint he is a moderate risk vs reward and in real life he is going to not be even close to the 2011 Cam.

So is he going to have a sophmore slump ? Nope he is going to have a reality check.

Come on guys… not even .5 for a reception?

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

Come on!

Take away the 4 games where Drew Brees through for an average 300+ against some of the worst pass defenses in the NFL(Carolina/Tampa Bay), as well as the 400 against another crappy pass defense (Vikings) and you can see that he should have thrown for well under 5000 yards. Hell, I doubt he would have scraped 4100. Good, but not great.
Also, considering the Giants had the worst rushing defense per actual stats, that kinda negates that BS about those Bucs games. Nice try Aints fan.

You don’t need a QB who can throw when you have the leagues best defense, most intelligent offensive play caller, running backs that don’t fumble, and a ridiculously young and strong offensive line!

There are plenty of QB’s who can “throw”, but how many of them are on a legit super bowl contending team? This isn’t 1983 where the intricate art of inserting some young stud with a cannon for an arm at QB and shelling the ball down field against defenses that hadn’t seen a down field pass of more than 20 yards since Tarkington (looking at you Dan Marino…and Dante Culpepper 10 years later). Being part of an efficient offensive system that limits a qb’s/rb’s percentage/opportunity for turnovers is what makes a team great. Alex Smith won’t blow anybody away with statistics like a Manning, Brees, or Rodgers, but he can manage a game just as well when he is surrounded with coaches and players who are more than viable in game-planning and playing within’ their means.

How about we just give them both credit for putting up numbers against NFL defenses? I hope Cam does really well for himself this year.

Luck did good in his first game…
