There should be absolutely no focus but winning a Super Bowl this year. Anything less and it was a waste and the entire staff is on its way out and unless Vick turns amazing, they probably start looking for his replacement immediately too.
Even if Vick meant differently the words Dynasty should NEVER even cross the man’s mind, or any person’s mind within the Eagles franchise. Just shows that they still have their heads in the clouds.
I was hoping that missing the playoffs last year like they did would show them they can’t just show up for half the year, give up leads and then turn it on at the end. Obviously they still think themselves better than anyone. To think I was actually hyped this year, but if Vick’s gonna be planting that talk in the minds of the locker room I’m already looking towards next year.
I don’t care if the media forgets, I couldn’t give a rat’s ass what the media thinks. All I know is when the Eagles play arrogant, they play like shit for the second halves of games and I swear if they give up a single lead in as terrible a way as they did last year I’m driving down to Philly and putting a boot up every single player’s ass.
Oh there are plenty of them defending it. Unlike most however, I’m not stupid. Like I said, whether the media blows it up or not is irrelevant to me, what’s more important is that what Vick said is likely the mindset of the team, and with that mindset we’ll be lucky to go 8-8 again this year. It makes me wish we had gone our deserved 4-12 last year. Maybe then they wouldn’t walk around with an undeserved ego for once.
I said at least Eagles fans HERE aren’t trying to defend it, lol. The average sports fan will blindly defend anything relating to their team.
And to be fair, last year’s 8-8 had the benefit of getting players more accustomed to the new defensive scheme. Whether or not it’s the right scheme for them remains open for debate, but at least they played within it a little better. You know they’ll score points as long as they’ve got Vick just randomly hucking the ball downfield to Jackson, fuck a playbook lol fuck sound football fundamentals, just throw harder and jump higher. Defense needs to hold when they inevitably fuck that up a few times a game, to go with the few times a game that it will work and score points.
Lions Aaron Berry arrested AGAIN. What the hell is going this offseason with all the arrests? I mean, I know there have always been legal troubles in the offseason, but doesn’t it seem this offseason is higher than normal?
Leave it to reid not to bash his QB stupid statements. Speaking of which, why is this guy still a coach? After a while, you need to bring in someone to get you over the hump.
He won’t be after this season because the Eagles won’t go anywhere (and his contract expires this year). It would take winning a Super Bowl for Reid to keep his job, which isn’t happening with their attitude right now. I love the dude, he’s probably the best QB developer in the league, he knows when someone’s right past their prime and knows when to get rid of them. But when it comes to game time I could never trust him. For his sake, I hope he gets a new start elsewhere, same for the Eagles. There comes a time where you should just know both sides just need something new since everyone and their mothers know the Eagles will not win a Super Bowl this year, as much as I want them to.
