I actually wouldn’t mind seeing two or so mods added. Back before the SF4 release, there were three. It was rough on them then. Now we have a ton more traffic and basically only 2 mods.
I wonder if i should run for mod also, that will be one lovely task for me. Will post my info here 2morrow.

I’m not entirely sure a public poll is the best way to go about deciding who has moderation authority over TT. Merit != number of friends you can get to vote for you

Yeah. I was avoiding trying to rally troops from a few local city threads to come to my aid as I had the mistaken assumption this was based on merit.

I’m not going to lie to you, I’ve been knocking on every door I could possibly think of because I knew this was going to be a fight once you entered the race. I do think the fact that I’ve had a lot of people come out to support me shows that people think I can do it, but my years of exprience in forum moderation/administration alone should prove I’m more than capable. Having said that, if i wasn’t in the running I’d have given you my total support because you’re highly qualified as well. I really think TT would be better off with both of us helping out as mods.

I guess what I’m trying to say: I could go to the region sections and get friends to vote for me. I could also go make a thread in the newbie dojo. I’m not willing to do either. Aside from the fact that it is against the rules of the newbie dojo (though I doubt Kooper would mind in this case), getting a bunch of people who don’t even read tech talk to come vote for me is not a valid indication of whether or not I’d be a good mod. Modding is a thankless job that only crazy people would subject themselves to; I’m not going to prostitute myself for it as well.
Sorry if you guys took offense to the poll. I already have my picks which are based on merit. Don’t take it too seriously.
But I’m a good cook, dammit! At least tell me the judges gave my dishes top marks for plating and originality!
