Man, I hate having to say it, especially considering I am a leaf fan, and bla bla bla. But yeah, this year we DO have a chance to make playoffs. Cup, lol I doubt it. But yeah, once we get everybody back healthy, and if we can snag ourselves another good forward, we have a damn good chance of making it this year (we still undefeated in regulation lol, losing to the Avs in OT last night)
Yeah this is what pissed me off last few years. Leafs were fielding a losing team, that was likely going to get SMASHED any given night, but were still charging top dollar. Seriously, the price of FOUR of them Panthers games were cheaper than Toronto’s standing room (cheapest seats starting at about 80 bucks). I remember hearing about Dallas games where they gave you 4 fucking tickets to the game, food and drink for the 4 people, and a free iPod Shuffle, for like 80 bucks. Canadian arena’s should seat like 150,000 and ticket prices should be waaay down. I would go see more live Leafs games, but the prices are pure rape. I HAVE to either take a bus/train to Toronto, or drive there and pay even MORE for fucking parking. Beer at the ACC is about 10 bucks for an bottle sized amount (which is retarded considering THEY BREW IT ON SIGHT, THUS ELIMINATING ALMOST ALL COSTS TO THEM), and food is rape-a-licious (for 8 bucks, they better have naked women feeding me that tiny bag of popcorn).
And the worst part is, its the hottest ticket in town, but the good seats are bought up by the stock exchange fuckers, so you get entire sections at the arena full of brown people who know nothing about hockey or dont care, just trying to impress a client who likely doesn’t care about hockey. Every period, look how empty it is as these people go get drunk, have a few smokes, do some blow, then come back into the game 7 minutes into the period. That area behind the benches is a ghost town for a good 5-10 minutes of each period, which is sad. Seriously, walking by the entrance to the lower section, you spot hardly any of the die hards, wearing jerseys, or facepaint, or even EXCITED. Just suits going in, oblivious to the world around them.
