yeah, it’s a little pricey, but it’s a fun game. The atmosphere has sucked lately, with the lack of Leafs fans actually showing up (Go Leafs Go chants are lame as fuck when half your crowd is discussing business proposals)

Lol I wish. I figured we’d taper off after a few games. We’ve had a tough time scoring goals 5 on 5, but our PP looks sick. Santorelli, Bergenheim, Matthias, and Jovo have all been out of the lineup already with sicknesses/injuries.
How has Nugent-Hopkins looked so far? I haven’t caught any Edmonton games yet, just seen highlights.
I wish I could still post on HF sometimes. The guys on the Panthers board are just clueless. I’ve watched all the games this year and Gudbranson has been atrocious, but for some reason everyone on the Panthers board thinks he’s been good. Every time the guy is on the ice we’re pinned in our zone. He makes terrible outlet passes that often end up going for icing, he shies away from contact, looks extremely NOT confident with the puck. I could go on and on.
I understand that he’s young and playing defense in the NHL at such a young age is a big deal, but he has not been as advertised so far. I’m hoping that he just needs some more time/experience to get accustomed to playing against bigger and stronger guys. He needs to start using his strength more and get involved in the play. He looks extremely passive out there. When we played the Pens, on one shift he and Jordan Staal were in the corner battling for the puck and Gudbranson absolutely rag dolled him, and Staal is a big dude. If he would do that more often, we’d be in good shape.
Caught some of the Leafs and Winnipeg game the other night. Now I really don’t like the Leafs but watching Kessel was really exciting. The guy was skating quick as hell, making sick plays and dangerous every time he was on the ice. The goal he set up Lupul for had everyone sold. If he keeps playing like that, the Bruins trade won’t look as bad as people thought.
Nuge has been great. Technically already our best centre lol Making some sick passes and taking away the puck from the other team like a little snake.
I don’t see him going back down after the 9 games, but Lander will most likely be going down once Gagner is back.
No way we will finish last if we stay semi-healthy this year. I tell you man it’s all about the injuries, and seems like you guys are catching the injury bug early. That stinks.
I’m happy for Toronto though. I don’t mind them like the rest of Canada, never had a reason to hate them. Good for Kessel, guy looks like an overweight hockey fan, but it really a great player.
Yep, I pay 60 bucks to see a caps game front row. Yet I would have to pay 200 dollars for nosebleed seats to a Skins game…

Also…you just gotta know where to park. there’s close parking to the acc for 7 bucks or free. and the beers are bigger than a bottle…but yeah they are fucking expensive…but you can’t go to any team in toronto where the prices are any cheaper. and the games aren’t sold out, you can find tons of tickets on craigslist or kijiji. ive even went to the box office 2 minutes before game time and got obstructed seats…that weren’t obstructed for 45 bucks.
have you been in the boxes underneath the rink? you wouldn’t want to go watch the game either if you have…especially how shitty the leafs have been.
leafs have been good lately. Not cup contender good, obviously, but I dont really see them having a huge problem making the playoffs this year.
best i’ve had is seats right behind the goalie. Got em for Christmas during the 2nd last year of Sundin. Damn good seats, but unimaginably expensive. Private bar (the Hot Stove) is amazing though, with tons of old school players just chilling and having a beer. I got to see both Mahovlich brothers and Gordie Howe that night (not the first time I’d seen any of them though).
Purples for 45 are still somewhat hard to come by depending on who plays. And that’s standing room only. I prefer to sit during my games. And I try to see the Leafs play somebody good, or the Habs. I ain’t paying money to see Toronto vs Minnesota or Calgary ffs.
I gotta see how my money situation is. I wanna see them play this year, but I got a ton of shit I NEED to do My buddy saw opening night. Cost an arm and a leg though, but he enjoyed it.

Yeah, the ref potenially cost my Habs the game last night. That 4th leafs goal should never have happened. The puck was up in the netting above the glass just seconds before that goal, play should have been stopped. Then again, if the Habs didn’t play like shit, they should have won anyways. I don’t see us making the playoff this year. Re-signing Markov was a waste of cap space, and he hasn’t even played yet. The guy is an injury magnet. We should have kept Wieznewski or gotten a healthy defenceman. The GM fucked up big time in the offseason, our roster is whack. Most of our defense are all rookies.
