Can’t be worse than the Dolphins. I heard they’re passing on Orton for Matt Moore.
MATT FREAKING MOORE.

Kickers gettin’ paid.
Mason Crosby signed a $14 million deal. That’s pretty good money for occassionally used, albeit highly specialized, service.
The Eagles have won the Asomugha sweepstakes.
Sent from Hueco Mundo using Garganta Talk.
Thank god he’s in the NFC with Samuel and DRC, instead of the AFC with Revis.
does Nnamdi Asomugha drive his Nissan all the way to Philly?
I want in on Fantasy
yeah, with that being said I see the Eagles running away with the NFC east. Samuel/Asomugha is too beast. You guys still sending Fantasy Invites? If so hook a brotha up.
BRB killing myself.
To all wanting in on FFB:
Not to be rude, but the first post says to PM me or kaz your e-mail. We can’t invite otherwise.
Nnamdi
Nnamdi/DRC/Samuel combo = gg
Please stay healthy Bob Sanders so that Weddle’s performance will represent his pay check. The Bolts might have not signed superstar names worthy of ESPN talk, but we still got a team that can wreck house as long the special teams looks nothing like last years.
I disagree. Yes, you will need to sign free agents to contend, but if you look at most championship teams, they are built from the ground up (Packers, Steelers, Colts, Patriots). When you build from the ground up, you have more cap flexibility, so if one player becomes a beast and demands a contract, you either have the flexibility to sign that player, or let the player go and draft someone to replace them. You at least got some of the players best years, whereas if you only sign players, you get one or two good years, then the rest of the years on their contract aren’t that good.
If you look at teams like the Vikings, Raiders (early-mid 2000), or Redskins (extreme example), they are able to be good for a couple years, then when the veteran’s start to age, they become worse, and it shows almost immediately.
As far as Asomugha on the Eagles go, their secondary went from average at best to one of the best in the league. I think Asante Samuel is overrated, but he has great hands, and is a top 10 corner. NFC East is going to be really interesting to watch. Cowboys, Giants, and Eagles, all those teams can contend for the Super Bowl when at their best. I’m glad that Asomugha went to a wining situation, as he came just after the Raiders went to the Super Bowl, and was in the cellar since then.
Ok so the eagles have Samuels, Nnamdi, and Rogers-Cromartie. Way to much money tied up in the secondary when Brandon Grahmn is not a elite pass rusher and they have a pretty weak line. I think they can run on the eagles fairly easily and make sure Vick stays cold and on the bench. It is going to be a tight divison between NY, Phil, and Dallas imo. 2 of those corners will get straight trucked I say get rid of samuels.
I know desean jackson is mad as hell, seeing how the eagles shelled out all that money to nnamdi when he’s been wanting a new contract for the last 2 years.
Hello thread! For those who used to remember me posting in the annual NFL thread a few years back, nice to see you guys again.
As an Eagles fan, not trying to come off as a front runner, but I am QUITE happy with most, if not all, transactions this week. One part of me feels bad, as I live in NY and some of my best friends are Jet fans. I know how badly they wanted Nnamdi, and I counter offered with how badly the Eagles needed him. At worst, I wanted him to sign with the Jets just so he wouldn’t go to Dallas. In all honesty, I talked myself into Dominique-Rodgers Cromartie after the trade, even though I knew Nnamdi was better. I am actually stunned, but happy with what went down today. I was watching Sportscenter live when it was announced the Jets were out, then the Cowboys were out, and then that the Eagles were the mystery team that will sign him. Unbelievable.
So, we will rock with three Pro Bowl corners, or will there be another move to come? Whatever the case may be, there’s still work to be done with this team. I am not okay with starting a rookie, and two 6/7th round draft picks at linebackers. An upgrade there is needed. Also, is Winston Justice up for protecting Vick’s blindside this year? He better be. The offensive line should be better this season, with a healthy Jamaal Jackson and the addition of rookie Danny Watkins. But, the injury bug can strike again. I love Nate Allen, and I think Kurt Coleman has some potential, but I have reason to be slightly nervous about the safeties. I’d also like for Mr. DeSean to show up sometime soon. The man does deserve a payraise, despite maybe not having the greatest football IQ on the team.
I’m very excited about this season, but there is still work to be done. I’ll be looking forward to it, and hoping for the best.

Philly made a great move with nnambi ONLY if they trade asante for linebackers or acquire more pass rushers.
D.Jackson has well out played his rookie contract,he is the #1 WR, there TE position is always injured and they never have a TE in philly who is versitile (Who can run block and pass catch).
If they do not pay D.Jackson, it’s the T.O. situation all over again but this time way way worse because they will have too many big name contracts to sign, a similer situation happened with H.Douglas,T.Trotter,B.Dawk,Vincent and the entire o-line etc-etc
Pretty sad that Mikell and Ackers were let go.
Fellow Eagle fans, lend me your ears and listen to me very carefully…
It’s
A
Fucking
Wrap
Frankly, we might not even need average lbs. Just guys who can be out there and not get in the way. We can play 4-2-5 all season. This is a passing league and we officialy have the best secondary in the nfl. Where the fuck are teams gonna throw the ball? You can’t throw it left, because no body is open (Nnamdi’s side). And you can try to throw right. Only problem is… you probably won’t get the ball back. DRC shuts down the 3rd wrs. We can do whatever we want and blitz whomever we want, whenever we want. You guys are worried about the run? Power running teams? Who the hell even plays like that anymore? The Falcons? The Jets? That’s about it. And frankly, you shouldn’t be scared of them. We can load the box with impunity now. And we got that pass rush. TCole and now Babin in the fold. It’s a fucking wrap.
The NFC East is ours? It already was ours even if we didn’t sign anybody. We’re going after the Pack, the Bears, and trying to get homefield. Fuck Dallas, they ain’t been shit for a long time and now that we Cliff Lee’d Nnamdi from JJ, their secondary will continue to SUCK MAJOR ASS. We own the Giants and they know it. We’re all up in their heads.
We’re gonna get DJax his paper and then we’re gonna beat the hell out of everybody.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
Make your reservations kids. We’re going to Super Bowl.
I like getting VY as the back up.
Having 3 great CBs is very good in such a pass happy league, also good is having the option to trade one of them for something the iggles need.
I hope they win so I can go to a parade with Du Fugutive.
“One of James’ comments – that Jennings was putting the team on his back – is now being commemorated with a Madden 12 Achievement/Trophy titled “Put Da Team on My Back.” It’s worth 50 Gamerscore on Xbox 360; to earn it, you need to score a 99-yard touchdown with Jennings.”
Well, I have to get on DAT MADDEN this year now.
Haha! Didn’t he have a broken leg or something when he was playing? That’s what made it so funny
