2011-2012 NFL Discussion and Fantasy - Payton and RG3, where they going

NFL 2011-2012 season is finally open. Be you a bandwagon fan (all of us will hate you and pray the football gods eat your soul) or a homer then this is the place for you. Seriously though, if you start saying how the Colts AND the Patriots AND the Saints are you #1 team we will probably haze you, or just argue a lot.

Anyway, we have two leagues available and Kaz has a special prize for the winner, so special that I have no idea what it could be. Maybe it’s the UMvC3? Maybe it’s a super soaker? Maybe it’s some pron? No one knows, but it will be jawesome. I believe we will run this the same as last year but please post if you have any ideas or changes on rules that you would like to suggest. Key word is suggest. The winner of each league will face off against each other and the winner of that receives THE prize. PM Kaz or mzenken your email to get into the league.

League 1 and 2 are all filled up, if someone starts a fun league I’ll post her up.

And GO SKINS!!!

You are too optimistic son, WE NOT MIGHT EVEN HAVE A SEASON :(…

Well let’s just hope all goes well…

Owners really want to end this…

I am up for any fantasy league openings, I have weekends off now.

Im chillin at the “espn conversations” chat about this situation and some of the comments are hilarious.
“the grim reaper was Al Davis for Halloween”
“If this doesn’t end my dad will rape me”

Some good reads. But yeah I am really hoping for the players to agree with the terms. As far as FFB, I don’t mind setting it up once everything’s a go but if someone else WANTS to do it then by all means.

Yea we need our football, it’s like there’s more than enough money to go around more than enough.

Hopefully they get it done Texans need to start hunting in free agency.

From what I read, in the deal the players are getting
16 game schedule
two a days gone
less practices
less OTAs
90% of a teams cap has to be spent towards them
the split veterans benifits paid off
no restrictions on players

I think thats it…

All we need is the players to sign it. That is, if they actually agree with the terms…

The players need to go on and sign so we can get this party going again, they have the terms of the new cba posted on nfl.com (everything sounds good and fair to me)…fall/winter just won’t be the same without football, come on and get er done.

With that I say…GO BEARS!!!

Seahawks NFC West champions at 6-10, beat #5 seed Green Bay to keep trolling NFL alive.

and here i was hoping theyd stay locked out (baseball fan :stuck_out_tongue: )

Mr. Mamation, I was actually gonna start the thread, but since you’ve done so, I"m just going to request that when fantasy leagues start you edit the first post to include the SRK Fantasy League 1 vs SRK Fantasy League 2 information.

This year, I still plan on running League 2 (or 1 or both if needed) but I’m putting up a prize for the overall forum winner.

Can you update the first post to include that please?

A volunteer is needed to run a separate league; Black Jesus ran League 1 last year.

no prob, lets hope this deal gets done today so we can start talking about when to do the draft.

The Dolphins will probably have a better record without a season than if they play -_-

Go Dolphins

Hi guys, I’m down for Fantasy Football too!

Doesn’t look like the players are gonna even look at it till next week. They are nitpicking hardcore and making themselves look like asses.

You know it, plus the Bears are looking great with the salary cap (their like 40 mill under or something under the new cba)…they can can pick up some good players in FA to fill some positions etc…

Agreed…they need to stop stalling and get in tune with the program, if they keep prolonging the process millions in revenue will be lost from cancelled preseason games…let alone regular season games.

I’m feeling like De Smith hasn’t been the best at sharing information with the players, and Goodell was able to push a vote through with the owners before Smith could get the info to the players. There is a report that Smith and Goodell talked an hour before the owners voted, and I think that is when they sorted out the details that the players are saying the owners added in. I think Smith is just trying to save face right now, since Goodell moved too quick for Smith could smooth the negotiations out with the players. Just a theory.

They aren’t even complaining about the money, their gripe is this. There is no opt out in the 7th year for the players of the 10 year CBA contract. That is what is holding up this whole thing, the players are being that fucking petty. Not the money, not that franchise tag is still there, the fact that there is no opt out for the players in 7 years.

All the stuff the owners supposedly added have to do with revenue sharing, which has nothing to do with the players to begin with.
