Who gives a shit if Rodgers came off as slightly arrogant in his interview. Can a player not be able to jab back at reporters now a then, my goodness some of you are making shit sound like he was saying “Fuck you, you all suck and I rule” comments here.
Go back to some of MJ’s interviews back in the day when he was at his prime and some of them were taking pokes at the media and critics. Go back to some of Bird’s comments back in his interviews and you’ll see him taking pokes as well.
Point is, a lot of other great athletes have done this before. What Rodgers said is nothing new, and more importantly nothing that should label him as arrogant, it’s not like he was coming on stage with fireworks shooting all over and saying “We’re going to win 4, 5, 6 champions” and yadi yada bs.
Please man, enough of that complete and utter nonsense here. As for the Lions, I do believe they will be the team that poses the biggest threat to the Packers in the NFC North this year. However I trust our offense vs the Lions Defense more so then the Lions Offense vs the Packers Defense.
The Lions have a great Line, a great Line, and that is the biggest asset that actually makes me scared of playing them. However after seeing last night, and how Rodgers picked apart a blitzing scheme like as though it was a Madden game puts my mind in ease. I don’t see how the Lions will be able to defend against the entire repertoire of weapons the Packers has unless the O-Line of the Packers somehow completely collapses.
Stafford also has to prove to me he can go on for 16 games, and if he can’t, then I don’t see how they’ll be a real competitor without a him. I don’t believe it’s going to be an Auto-Win like how it was for the majority of the past decade when we played against them, and I’ll say that it will be closer, but the Packers are simply overall the better team and if they play to their talent, they shouldn’t lose to the Lions.
Again, I trust our offense to be able to put up more points against the Lions defense, then the other way around, plus our QB has proven himself to be one of the best, while Stafford still needs to show he can go through an entire season without having to be wearing a mic on the sidelines.
