jax might be on the decline, but how do you figure on mjd? he had almost the exact same ypc avg and yards as the year before. he had less tds, but the team was ass, and he’s only 26. he should be hitting his prime right now really
i might be biased against charles. he gets yards and shit, but when i watch him run, all i see is speed. good back, but i cant put a guy who doesnt do all the work on his own team in my top 5
MJD has been a workhorse. I don’t quite think he has the size to take the punishment that some other RBs can over a long period of time. If I’m not mistaken, last year was the second year he was the main RB after being in a committee system.
He got hurt last year, and is coming off a significant surgery this off-season that not a lot of RBs usually come back and are productive after. It escapes my mind what surgery he had this year, but I’m expecting his backup to have a year that in comparison will just about equal or excel what MJD does this year.
I still think MJD will be productive, but he won’t have the numbers he usually has this year, not with another emerging RB on the team.

We’ll see how it goes, but I just know size should be an issue for a player like MJD. He could get by when Fred Taylor was there carrying some of the load with him, but when it’s been all MJD, he didn’t make it through last year. The year before he was beastly though.

I know I always get my hopes up for Dallas, but I just can’t this year despite a solid, healthy line up. I didn’t want to buy into the hype but the pre-season eagles game last night was just…uhg, that defensive line is to good. I still think we can make and win a playoff game but I dont know about winning the division, seems far fetched.
steven jackson plays through despite being damaged, but I would be scared to pick him up this year tbh. I don’t see him making it through another full year.
He’s been a 3-down back his entire career, literally putting horrible teams on his back. RBs durability is always an issue, but to take the type of punishment he has, and his style of running too, means he probably has 1-2 good seasons left, no more than that.

I can’t trust Cassel to put the Chiefs on his back, even with the guys he gets to throw to. He puts up good numbers in garbage time, but he hasn’t shown the clutch factor needed from a QB.
