My bad. I’m in now.
Why are there 7 teams in the east and 5 in the west?

Deion Sanders goes in as a Falcon!!! 1st Falcon in the HOF! Great speech from my favorite Falcon of all time! Yes he thanked all of the teams, but he put a black bandana on his bust. That’s what he wore when he was a Falcon. He wore a blue do rag with the cowgirls, purple with the ravens, crimson red with the redskins, and red with the 49ers. PrimeTime was THE BEST CB of all time! No contest imo!
because kaz is the league manager.
good luck to ya ant! lolz
come onnnnn dolphins sign favvvvrreeee
Let me speak on Micheal jenkins since he was a falcon for 5 years. MJ never lived up to his 1st round draft position. He is not bad, but he isn’t great either. He is a big body that has good hands now. The past 2 years I think he had the least amount of drops on our team. The problem with MJ is he can’t blow by anyone. He’s not explosive off the ball. He gets no seperation from cb’s. Now he’s 6’5" so he can jump over most cb’s in the league and he has been Matt Ryans goto guy on the deep corner routes at the end of the game. EVERY comeback victory we have had MJ has always made a great toe tapping catch to put us in fieldgoal range.
Against the bears it was MJ that caught the ball in that less than 2 seconds to win on a great 35 yard deep outs route! MJ can catch the balll now. Earlier in his career he would drop atleast 2 per game, but those days are long gone. You have a very solid wr with his hands and blocking. Don’t use the playoff blow out as a gauge on how good MJ is because NO ONE PLAYED GOOD IN THAT FUCKNG GAME THAT WORE A FALCON JERSEY! You didn’t see our offense out on the field that much anyways. Do some reserch before trashing a player. The falcons wanted to keep MJ, but they put too much stock into Julio Jones NOT TO START him! MJ doesn’t have blazing speed so he wouldn’t work well as a slot wr imo.
Like I said, MJ isn’t going to wow you with his speed, but he is a solid wr now with good hands and better blocking skills. He could be a #1 if he bulked up imo, but he is a solid #2. I wanted the falcons to keep him and put julio in the slot so he can work on those smaller nickel cb’s, but when you give up 4 draft picks for Julio you are kinda forced to play him early to prove you didn’t make a bad trade! Teams have ego’s and they wasn’t about to give away that much for draft pick and NOT START HIM! Everyone would have questioned the Falcons front office if they had Julio Jones as the 3rd wr with what they did to get Julio. Imo I think this draft pick is more important to the GM than it was in drafting Matt Ryan.
With the Matt Ryan draft pick matt fell into our lap. It was known that the Rams needed a QB but they past on matt to draft NFL HOF Howie Long’s son instead 1 pick before the Falcons. The Falcons couldn’t pick Ryan fast enough as they just cut ties with Mike Vick due to the dog fighting scandal. That was easy compare to giving up some of your draft this year and next year for the 2nd best wr in the draft! This was a hellava gamble our GM and I hope it pays off, but the Falcons with drafting Julio Jones that high of price has put the bulleye on the young guy. He pretty much has to be equal or better than roddy white in a short amount of time.
I’m sad that we didn’t get in the namdi sweepstakes as our pass defense was crap last year.` Atleast we got Ray Edwards to help Abraham on the other side of the DE.My worry is Ray only had 8 sacks last year with 3 other probowl type talent around him on that D-line. I would think he would have more than just 8 sacks with Jared Allen, and both williams on that D-Line because I would think he faced only single blocking/coverage all year long.
Favre said he doesn’t want to play in the division with the Jets…errrr… doesn’t want to play for the phins.

Great hands/finger catch by MJ against the ravens defense.
Shinblanka: I apologize, I didn’t mean to put down Michael Jenkins like that. I didn’t watch many Falcons games last year (blame the networks for that), the only one I watched in detail was the playoff game where as you said, everyone played like shit. I think Michael Jenkins will be good for the Vikings, actually. He is a good blocker, and the Vikings are going to run a power-run game, now, with 2 TE sets. The Vikings have WR problems, they don’t really have a big play receiver anymore (Rice is gone, but he was never really healthy, except for one season), Berrian sucks, Harvin is better in the slot, and there are question marks with the other WRs. I don’t think this offense is going to do a lot of chucking, though, so I don’t think there is a big premium on a big play WR; it will suck though that there is going to be a lot of 8-in-the-box situations.
As for Ray Edwards, the guy is very good against the run, but pretty average as a pass rusher. He did face single coverage and should have had more sacks. I think he was frustrated all year last year, because he didn’t get a new contract, but I don’t think that will change his pass rushing abilities. Falcons will still have problems as far as only having one reliable pass rusher (that is aging) in Abraham. They did get better as far as pass rush goes, but only slightly.
To be honest, I think the Falcons reached in trying to get Julio Jones. They are definitely going all in, and for the pick to be successful, Julio has to be a pro bowler (may not year one, but in a couple years at least). If Julio is average, that pick will haunt them for a while, especially in a division with the Saints and Bucs as contenders.
Yea that pick may get Thomas D. fired from his GM job if it doesn’t pan out.
Wow Primetime went in as a Falcon… No longer my favorite player. YOUR DEAD TO ME DEION!!!
The Falcons’ offense, the entire team in fact, had everything clicking for them in the 1st half of that Green Bay/Atlanta playoff game. You had Turner gaining good, tough yards and scoring a rushing TD early in the game, you had Jennings get stripped on a HUGE Green Bay passing play which resulted in a turnover, then you had Weems go to the house on special teams. Your offense was on the field plenty in the 1st half. The turning point was obviously Tramon’s pick-6 right before halftime that turned the tide, but I felt like Altanta’s defensive line let the team down the most once the 2nd half began; no way in fucking hell ANY defensive back is going to be able to cover Green Bay’s receivers for 5+ seconds when Rodgers gets to do what he wants in the backfield because the defensive line can’t touch him. They had him on the run a few times, but Rodgers has proven he’s deadly when he’s rolling to his right to escape pressure, so they needed to do something different. They didn’t adjust, then they just quit once it became a 3 TD lead.
Moving from louisiana to seattle. Gonna ask all my old buddies to hold my diiiieck
Good question and good catch. Not sure how that happened. I’ll have to change that…
1 spot left in League 2.
Mzenken is my bff.
Sup brother
Baltimore needs to go pick up an actual WR. Neither James Hardy or Jericho Cotchery are the answers for a slot receiver.
Our offense didn’t do shit! We got a pick and that resulted in a short feild. We had 1 good drive the entire 1st half and then before the half we had a good drive until matthew ryan threw a pick 6! When GB got the ball back in the 2nd half and scored the game was over then. We need help with getting pressure on the qb, but I feel like we didn’t address D-line or cb position like we should have imo. I would have rather spent all of those picks to get the CB from LSU from the cardinals in the 4th slot or they had a chance to get a top D-line player instead of julio jones.
I would have rather them traded a 2nd round pick for the Giants DE Osi U. That’s what pissed me off is that we lost in the playoff’s due to the defense and we didn’t do enough to sure that weakness up. I hope we make the playoff’s but i’m starting to doubt it now. The offense is killing the defense in training camp (I just got back from morning practice because I stay 1 mile away from the Falcons Training facilities!) Ray Edwards wasn’t in practice today and that’s the person I wanted to see today.
lol Tim Tebow getting mad trash talked.
It so bad ppl, it is like he can throw at all lol.
Old man Ricky Williams coming to Bmore to backup Ray Rice.
I kinda like this decision.
So, for anyone who’s questioned why you wait until you have your fantasy draft as late as possible (or as close as you can to the regular season) the Lions rookie RB hurt his achilles tendon and is out for the year. Also, Arian Foster, who might be the #1 pick of many drafts this year hurt his hamstring on his** first** carry in practice.
This is why you wait guys.
