So, Green Bay actually got James Jones to re-sign for 3 yrs. Surprising, I thought he was gone for sure; he’s our #3/4 receiver and he could probably be a solid #2 on a lesser team. So, we have Aaron Rodgers throwing to a healthy Jermichael Finley, Greg Jennings, the ageless Donald Driver, Jordy Nelson/James Jones, and being able to rely on an actual running game with a healthy and motivated Ryan Grant? So fucking sick.

Seeing as how the Astros were doing great this year in baseball, im guessing with all these moves or lack of the Texans are making, I can see them following in their footsteps

Pre-season doesn’t even end until September 2nd.
If you’d like to risk your team being screwed over by injury, be my guest. Personally, I’d rather wait until it’s over, which is generally what everyone else has pretty much agreed on in League 2. If it’s too late, check and see what mzenken is doing in League 1. Maybe he’s running an earlier draft.
If you decide to go that route, let me know. I’ll have to delete your team from League 2.
I sometimes hate being a Bears fan. All of them act like Chicken Little with every move or non-move they make. Please remember this team won their division and was in the NFC championship game. They are going to be just fine, and probably better than last year as the new offensive system isn’t new anymore.
As far as Kruetz gone, the only downfall is that he was a well liked/respected player. His best days were long behind him, and Chicago was pitiful on shot yardage situations, a lot of the time running right up the middle. Barber was brought in to address this, and Kreutz was let go. It’s a business, and if he were still good, why wasn’t he offered any money from any other team. SF talked with him, but never offered a contract.

Your team was incredibly, incredibly lucky throughout the entire season; no injuries at all, GB having their entire team decimated by injury, Favre not being able to carry MIN like he did the previous season, weakass SEA as a playoff opponent, etc. To think your team is going to even sniff last season’s success is lolfail.
I’ll probably do League 1 draft around the same time, kaz. Probably that Saturday, though.
11-5, but only because of luck? I know that’s the world view regarding Chicago, but it’s a pretty ignorant take on things. The best special teams in the NFL, a defense that allowed the second least running yards per game, and 4th least points allowed? Yeah, that’s some real luck, or the myopic viewpoint of a Packers fan.
It’s cool, people always hate on Chicago…I wouldn’t want it any other way.
