I will think this is a good idea when someone explains to me how this is any different from the nba having an all-american, all-white all-star game to encourage basketball participation by white folk and highlighting good white, american players.
I do support EVO having the all girl tournament for the fact that it will bring out more girl gamers no matter what. I’m pretty sure EVO isn’t trying to insult women by any means. To me its about growing the community in which this will definitely help. Its true that I believe that girls will get bad mouthed some way or another but that’s just the way it is. The same applies to guys that play. Let me make sure its clear that I do believe that women can have the ability to compete with the very best or become the best. That person may already be an active female gamer in the community or it may be that girl that just needed that little push to play more seriously in which this tournament will give her that confidence to start somewhere. To the girls that want to move forward past the girls only tournaments,:woot: I hope to see you in top 8 someday. To those that wish to play in girl only tournaments I understand if you have no desire to go pro or if you just like the environment better. And to the girls that “attention whore” you are making it harder for women to be taken seriously. So in the end I hope some girl will rise and defeat Justin Wong because I know I cant :sad: haha love you Justin!
