I’m gonna start counting votes today so please no one other than Are_you_okay (the whole thing was his idea afterall) edit your posts. If you want to make additions and / or changes, just make a new post about it. New voters can still come and vote until midnight Eastern Time, which is the deadline. Some members have posted that they prefer the Earth-X or Ultimate ver. of a character, you will count those as a separate character correct? Cuz Ultimate Steve Rogers isn’t necessarily the same as 616-Steve Rogers, ya figure.

How many will you show in the final list? 10 sounds like a small number, maybe you should put 50? Yeah I know it sounds like a rather big number, but it’ll give more readers here an idea of who some of our fav. characters are. If not 50 then maybe 20-40 or whereabouts.

Will you be posting the results in the Comic Book forum or in the GD forum? Cuz if its in the GD forum, who knows maybe by some chance someone would consider reading a collection of one of the characters that ranked high in the vote or maybe has struck some interest for them.

My vote for Catman still stands right? It’s OK to omit the ‘other characters of the team’, but he’s still accounted for?

Right now I’m thinking of going by identities mostly. Like, Ultimate and 616 Cap are both Steve Rogers, so it’s a vote for Steve Rogers Captain America (every comic book character poll works like that really). Because the majority of votes for Ultimate variants currently isn’t too much, better to have votes counted instead of tossed on the cutting room floor. (And a few characters might not even make the cut if I seperate the votes for variants). But I will count all the votes including the different versions in my own personal tally and see what I can do about it.

Have no idea until I count but it will probably be seperated by votes. First I’ll list the characters that have 2 votes, than 3, than 4, something like that. Just because I think there are going to be a lot of ties. If I do a list at this point it would look something like this -

Just gonna post it here, not in General. Posting it in General doesn’t make too much sense when we have a Comic Book Forum. It’s not really my job to solve the problem of people who only post in General and refuse to look at other forums here at SRK. I’ll put the final tally in my sig for a while so General peeps can see it (I got some extra votes that way heh heh), if you or whoever else wants to you can do the same. Unless Turk wins, then please don’t.

Yeah I don’t think Zemo was skrullified so I lost that bet, would be funny if the last issue had him popping up and ripping his mask off to reveal a Skrull face. I could talk crap for a looong time after that.
Yeah I’m satisfied with my votes now that I sat and thought about it, so they are good to go. Wonder if anyone else voted for Jack.
Up to page 5 now in counting the votes up and yeah I’m able to keep the votes for Ultimate characters seperate.
I did wind up combining different versions of the Hulk together (Green Scar, Professor) and chalked them up to Hulk since they were still Bruce Banner, Rainbow Batman lol went to Batman, Zeph’s Bru Incarnation vote went to Bucky Barnes Captain America, things like that. Otherwise some of these votes would be lost, as everything needs 2 votes to get a mention (actually, it’s currently looking like 3 votes to get a mention, but we’ll see…)

Progress Report: I have close to 30 characters who only got 2 votes, so none of them will be mentioned in the final listing, that’s way too much… Characters with 3 votes is a little over 10, ditto for characters with 4 votes so that’s a good place to start; characters with 3 votes and up.
My apologies go out to Adam Warlock (um, character and member…), Agent Graves, Ash, Batgirl, Beast, Ben Reilly, Catwoman, Darkseid, Doctor Strange, John Stewart Green Lantern, Optimus Prime, Nexus, Psylocke, Rock Lee, She-Hulk, Son Goku, Spawn, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Girl and a slew of characters who only had 2 votes but would of been cool to mention in the final listing. But yeah, majority rules… 
This also KOed A LOT of Street Fighter characters who only had 2 votes. Interestingly enough, both Chun-Li and Cammy tied at 2 votes so their female rivalry continues heh!
Ultimate and All-Star votes have been seperated, but only 1 Ultimate character made the cut, no All-Star characters. And yeah if you voted for both versions of the same character, I gave the vote to the regular character because most of the time they were the ones that needed the vote to rank higher on the poll.
Combining different versions of the same character (same universe, same identity) wound up helping Hulk a lot. Didn’t make too much of a difference elsewhere.
There are a lot of ties, but at the very least we do have a top 3 so that’s cool. 
Not sure if there’s a #4 or if that spot is tied up also, have to continue bean counting…

Ah finished counting votes so this thread gets reopened lol! Was worried mostly about last minute edits and so forth. Turns out we have our top five characters, and then a lot of ties heh heh! Results going up tomorrow. Good stuff SRK, nice list of characters.
