I’d like to cheat and add Cowboy Bebop characters since they made manga stories out of the characters, but since they originated in the anime I feel bad…

1 - Wolverine. Loved him since I was little. He’s popular for good reason. If he was a lame character, Marvel would gain nothing by shoving him into every title possible. Don’t hate the player, hate the game!
2 - The Maxx. Grew up watching the show on MTV, but it wasn’t until many years later I got to read the entire comic series.
3 - Clayface. I’ll admit…I’m more of an animated series fan of Batman than I am comics. Clayface’s episodes in the show I always liked a lot, you almost felt bad for him.
4 - Mr. Freeze. Same as Clayface. Villains you can sympathize with are much better than the “MWAHAH I’m evil and want to take over the world” types.
5 - Batman. Duh.
6 - Joker. Doesn’t seem right having Bats without Joker.
7 - Magneto. Another great example of a villain you could see yourself siding with.
8 - Apocalypse. Dunno why, but I’ve always enjoyed him for some reason.
9 - Vegeta. Since someone voted Goku, only fair the Prince Of All Saiyans should get a vote too.
10 - X-23…Wolverine with tits! Seriously though, her mini-series was pretty good and I think she is a solid character.

The Grey Gargoyle is a hilarious character and Fitzroy had so much potential but they completely botched his story line. I don’t know who smoked cracked at Marvel and let Jim Lee start writing, but I blame him for the shitty Upstart arc in Uncanny X-Men.

  1. Spider-Man. Despite the effed up stay I feel the flagship title is in, I still love Spidey. Besides, to me, Spidey is more than ASM and has been for years now.

  2. Ryu. Because he’s freaking RYU! HADOKEN! It’s my my name! :rock:

  3. Chun-Li.

  4. Ken. I like Ken, I do but he’s a bit overrated.

  5. Mary Jane. Best female character in comics IMO.

Oh yeah, and I’m rescinding my vote for Swamp Thing and replacing it with a vote for The Spirit. I have no idea why he slipped my mind, but my list doesn’t need that many characters by one guy.

I’m waiting for Loeb to write a story where Rulk knocks out the internet with one punch. That makes about as much sense as anything else that goes on in that book. Screw Rulk. He can not punch out The Watcher NO JUST NO! :arazz:
