2 PCB's in one stick - Possible?

no vma i’m using 2 madcatz tournamant stick pcb for my project not axis adapter

Ah, sorry yoyu, I misunderstood… have you tried the padhacking thread?

@Atrain

In a nutshell, chances are you’ll find the wiring for the hacked pcb in the padhack thread; then it’s pretty much connecting each point from one pcb to the equivalent on the other board (jumpering). So, Vcc-1 to Vcc-2, GND-1 to GND-2, Light Punch-1 to Light Punch -2…and so on. As previously mentioned, if you’re using the Madcatz 4716, and want full button function on the trigger buttons, you’ll need to do the trigger hack.

hth…happy modding:).

How scary would it be to dual mod a solderless a series dualshock into a ps3 hrap or a te?

Scary? Not really. Very frustrating if you don’t have a godlike amount of patience? Absolutely. I tried using a solder-less DualShock PCB once and I wanted to just kill myself, so I ended up finding an older model instead so I could use solder.

Is it really that hard to do?

Well when you mention “solderless” DualShocks I think of trying to stick all of those tiny, flimsy wires into a cramped (not even an inch wide) flat-flexible cable connection slot, and hoping the stiff end of the FFC cable will hold in all of those wires, which it ultimately won’t unless you’re lucky or something. In my opinion, you’re better off soldering to a nice, sturdy circuit board.

Hmmm…how about this? Mine works fine with the PS3 & i never accidentally plug both PSX & USB cable at the same time. However, when i tried it on my PS2 for the first time, the random button mapping occurs IF i don’t connect the USB into device with usb port. In this case, i just plug it into my PC(Still work even if the PC is completely turned off).

Actually, i’ve already made a thread about this & someone asked for wiring pictures but couldn’t do so because my camera was taken at that time. Probably can post tonight if i get my camera back. Just wanna hear some opinion first.

Edit: I forgot to mention that it works fine without using the USB on PS2 phat . So i’m kinda confused as to why it doesn’t work on PS2 slim.

So which of the wiring part is required for pictures?

What is this random button mapping ish?

I want to wire up my psx pcb to a te or some other ps3 stick. Can someone help me out? Assume i already padhacked my pad. (I know vague right?)

Quick two questions about a project I’m working on. I’ve read the first several pages of the topic (and skimmed many others) and don’t think this has been asked, but if it has I apologize in advance.

I’m making a PS3/360 stick using a Cthulu and a Madcatz 4716 (or whatever).

  1. Referring to the picture on page one, do I have to directly connect the voltage and grounds from one pad to another or can I do it through the terminal? As in, wires go into terminal strip but don’t necessarily come back out the other side (if I can’t pull off part two the way I’m thinking). Like so

PCB1

—Terminal—
/
PCB2

  1. I’d also like to wire up LEDs so that the buttons light up when pressed. Am I correct in assuming that I need to wire the 5v (hopefully from the terminal) to the plus on the LED (daisy chained) and ground on the grounded prong on the button to the minus side of the LED?

Thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction here.

Edit: Found out all about the LED mod, but will gladly receive any advice from anyone who has done it with a two PCB setup.

can someone please explain how it is different than this if i use a wiring harness for a jlf? if i use that, i won’t be able to chain the grounds together on the stick so how do i connect it up?

take the ground wire from the joystick strip a little off the end, and twist it with the button ground wire, and stick them both into the same terminal.

Same thing.

You see the green line?
That would be the black on your JLF-H.
And then the Daisy-chain for Buttons go same place as black wire from JLF-H.

thank you both.

anyone actually tried 2 madcatz pcb in one stick? tournament stick pcb ps3 and xbox together in one stick

Many people have.
That is how they Dual Mod their PlayStation 3 TE.

happen to have any tuto link? i did on but only ps3 work xbox stop working after 5 min

Isn’t it easier going the other way around? As in from 360 and modding in a ps3 pcb?
