is it possible that i mixed up the ground wire from usb to xbox pxb? i mean theres 2 ground from usb to pcb
Just completed a Cthulhu/MadCatz 4716 Dual mod today (12 hoursā¦).
One of the problems that I came across was that I didnāt ground both grounds - one from the PCB, one being the ground from the USB cable.
The ground should be able to go into any ground. Just remember to ground it.
It feels great to know that I have built my first stick with my two handsā¦ and didnāt have to pay the price for 2 sticks.
i want to keep all original function for both ps3/xbox and already got an axisadapter for the other stick but even after i grounded them and connect both 5v together it still power out after 5-10 min of playing
Hey all Iām dual modding a Nubytech and a 4716 09 together. The 360 side is working just fine including the triggers but for some reason the the Nuby side is spazzing out and going back and forth between these readings every couple of seconds:
This is how my grounds and power wire are wired:
I suspect that it could be the triggers from my 360 pad. I used the transistor method. I read that his method doesnāt work unless you use diodes and I am using them.
Can anybody give a reason as to why Nuby side is going crazy? Iām all out of ideas.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Q: Will this work connecting these 2 pcbs togetherā¦

3.3v connects to 5vā¦ and connect ground to pcbs to a terminal stripā¦ and just hook up everything togetherā¦
Yes, but aaaaaaaah why are you dismantling a Saturn pad?!
O.K. thanks MiniFooā¦ Cuzā¦ I need a joystick for my fighting gamesā¦ another question is it possible to also put LEDs in so both light up on activationā¦
I know how to dual mod but whats the best way do you guys think to get my ps3 Madcatz TE to work with Ps2 and Game cube
Iād just replace the board with an MC cthulhu. You can either access the guide button through the turbo panel, or you could throw in an imp just to get start+select=guide.
I see you hacked the triggersā¦on the inverter, did you make sure to ground the unused inputs? Transitory states often cause what youāre describing. Just a thought.

yoyuā¦IIRC (but I may be mistaken), sixaxxis isnāt common ground - youāre sure to get unpredictable results if this is the case. Easy solution to the CG problemā¦grab a Cthulhu from Toodles.

may i ask for a diagram on a wireing setup for for a ps3 360 se dual mod
Atrain already has PS3 Mad Catz Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick?.
Wants to add Xbox 360 support.
Atrainā¦
Your best bet would probably be a Madcatz 4716 which you shuld be able to pick up at a Gamestop. There are a few pinout diagrams in the forums which you should be able to search for. If you want to use the 360 triggers as actual buttons, youāll need to do a trigger hack(also searchable here). Beyond that, just jumper each point to its corresponding point on the SE (including Vcc and GND). Oh, and if youāre sticking with the 2 cables, NEVER plug the 2 in at the same time.

thanks i already have a pad hacked pcb its just wireing that im unsure of i look inside my se stick and i c the terminal and the turbo pcb i am wondering how to get one 5 pinned connector for both and how to make every button usable on my 360 pcb including the turbo and start/select buttons. sorry if i am not making sense im a nub to wireing and my dad needs me to have some clue on how this works
Are you using just a regular Xbox 360 Controller PCB?
You wonāt have Turbo for Xbox 360 because the Controller didnāt have it to start.
its a regular madcatz pad hacked one from modchipman. I thought you can get a way to connect turbo to an added pcb. but thats not important. since i just want functionality i dont really need turbo functionality as much as the start and select button being my start and back button and the psn button being my xbox guide button if possible
wow nice
