Itâs still much much MUCH cheaper to use land, not to mention you can ship more items by land then by the others.
Also, are you seriously saying that people living in the middle of south korea should ship their products to the oceans (by land), THEN travel the ocean to get to the rest of Asia, rather than just drive north?
It seems like some of you think China is going to allow an open border where tons of material is going to flow into China from Korea. If N. Korea dissapears, there is going to be a heavily guarded buffer zone, and things wonât flow nice and easy.
China isnât going to be happy about having a huge open border with an American ally, especially one where so much material is being passed in through rail. Only thing China cares more about $$$$$ is ensuring the absolute power of the elite. And this open border is a threat, because we know how paranoid China is. If Americans are losing their shit over illegals and some untrained moronic narcs that shoot like Rambo, you donât think China will about having such an open and free border with an enemy???
So although beneficial to Korea, China isnât going to allow an open border where material can freely come in an out with minimal inspection, and if it does, shipments are going to get delayed to ensure things coming in to China arenât things that threaten China. The cost may easily outweight the benefits. Things may come in from China with minimal inspection, but Korea isnât even going to remotely benefit on the same level as China will. This wonât benefit Korea enough to warrant the integration of N. Korea, like schwaffle whatever proposed.
This wonât benifit Korea at the level some of you think, China, yeah, Korea?? Not so much.
And China canât even keep North Korean refugeeâs out of the country, theyâre suddenly going to be inspecting every single parcel that comes out of North Korea? Or completely close their borders?
The fact that you initially dismissed the importance of a land route to China shows you either know nothing about Korea, or you know nothing about China. Korea imports a lot from China, and a lot from Russia. Being able to get things there faster would be a huge deal.
You know absolutely nothing about logistics. Shipping things by boat is the cheapest way to ship thingsâŚfrom one continent to another. Moving things by ground is the best way to move things over relatively short distances.
You know nothing about geography. Itâs genuinely funny that you say somebody else is âgeography impairedâ (which is totally a thing) when youâre so pathetically dumb. You could drive from Seoul, through North Korea, and into China within 4 hours. But your dumb ass says âoh, yeah, itâs way easier to just ship something from China, which is totally all near the ocean, by sea to South Korea, or fly it, which is totally the same priceâ.
Do you know how many countries actually border China? Youâre saying they are going to be nervous about having an American ally on their border when they have 15 other countries, many of which are allies of America or have American military bases inside, touching them? What are you even thinking?
Do you not know that China is likeâŚthe biggest exporter in the world these days? Do you know how much stuff freely gets moved to and from Russia, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Mongolia, etc. etc. but theyâre worried about Korea? A huge customer of theirs? Yeah, youâre smart.
Then you say that China would be the biggest beneficiary from something they donât want. Which totally makes sense.
All that stupid in just two posts. Seriously, leave this thread and just do not come back.
China does not want a unified Korea, the country does not want a U.S. presence and a U.S. ally that big in its backyard. But a conflict between the Koreas would be bad for China. And it would also be very bad for the U.S., which has 28,500 troops within range of North Korea.
I donât know how many fucking articles there are where China has stated and or demonstrated that they donât want American military presence near its borders. Of all the countries that border China, only Korea is a real American ally with any real American prescence, and China doesnât want that shit, its why N. Korea exists. Or did you forget about that fiasco 09-10 where China was threatening America because there was increased presence of real Naval hardware outside Chinaâs waterâs. How do you think China will feel about having that much American military presence only 20-30 miles away. You seriously believe that China would allow a border open enough to bring in the necessary capital to Korea so that it can benifet from it economically? Especially with an American ally that is most likely going to want a heavy American military presence inside the nation and have it close to the border?
You must be stupid to think that the Chinese leadership is stupid enough to allow something like that.
I didnât know allies continuously and openly committed acts of aggression against its allies. Hacking into military networks, or companies with state secrets isnât signs of the Chinese being our friends or allies. Its what the Soviets did in the cold war with spies, and they werenât exactly our allies.
Kim Jong âBoomâ, North Koreas crazy atomic warrior. But I doubt that North Korea´s can nuke Germany to death.(Spiegel sucks btw, Merkel´s propaganda organ),
The pose of Kim is ⌠interesting.
Not only that, but theyâre pulling that entitled single parent shit on North Koreans in the news, âWe didnât close down Kaesong, the South Koreans walked out.â
I have no links, unless you want to watch SK news videos, but apparently Kim Jong-un is waiting for Obama to call him. Embassies are reporting that Kim is expecting a call from him.
Dennis Rodman may be stupid, but belligerent, he isnât. Kim really is that crazy that he thinks he can make threats and be given credibility by the United States.
Between Japan and America, they donât stand a chance of getting anything sent out anymore by sea or air. Chinaâs also blocked NKâs shipments in Dalian. Honestly? I think itâs only a matter of time before they fizzle out, now whether they try to go out in a blaze of glory or not remains to be seen, but I doubt it highly.
