hate mail
hate mail should be the least of his worries, try playing street fighter II at ur local corner store back in 1991 in brooklyn with marcy projects across the street. and some thug comes up to u tell u, that if u beat in the game were fighting for real.
Now, that’s real street fightin’, right there. Man, do I miss those days…Seeing grown men promising to beat up a child if the child wins a match…
Just block communications, or change his settings so only friends can message him.
Its nice to see some kids younger than me (18 year old) play street fighter. I thought I was one of the youngens lol.
I’m amused by the hatemail I get (and I play Cammy 99.9% of the time online)… but then again, I’m 27. At 13… (half my life ago, was probably on the Alpha or Super II series) I probably would’ve found it intimidating.
I once got party invited by someone I was continuously defeating and he decided to make obnoxious sounds over the mic during one of our matches. So I threw a round to get out of his party. (I know, I could’ve muted the TV if I knew where the remote was.) He won the match and sent me a message saying something like “now stop your Cammy BS.”
All kids need to do is not take this game THAT seriously to the point you feed into childish harassment. Some people are just sore losers and if they hate on you, then (like most people said) you’re most likely doing something right, and that is woop their behinds (I hope). In spite of the hate mail that I get, I get a lot more “GGs” and I always reply back to them. Sometimes I earn friends to play with later on. So congratulate people. Keep yourself surrounded not only by good players, but moreso, players with positive attitudes. The haters are gonna hate, but you can find more than hate from the people you play with.
Don’t hit space-bar before you enter a comatose state? Sorry, couldn’t resist.
Anyway…I think the statement “More money, more problems” fits this situation aptly. He’s got a fair amount of BP for having just picked up the game. Also, if he’s beating veterans (or rather, people who would presumably describe themselves as such) so senseless that they uncontrollably mash on their keyboard to release upon the world a D-rate, English-as-a-third-language hatemail, he’s probably tailor-made for 2D fighters. Tell him to keep beating the Morton’s out of them.
I don’t even like this game… but yeah, you’re an idiot.
Maybe you should just stop playing Street Fighter.
no. if people hate than its usualy turbo mashing scrubs
side note.
beat a gen with 13.5k bp with my 0 bp rufus and he called me a ******.
^racial slur for blacks
looks at Rankings lol I see exactly who it is
He gives Gen players everywhere a bad name. I’ll have to destroy him later
If you can’t laugh at the haters this game probably isn’t for you.
Tell him he is doing something right if he is getting hate mail. Also don’t mean to sound rude but tell him to man up a bit its just online nobody has the power to do anything to him besides send a message which he does have the choice to ignore.
Not only another newbie scrub retard Ryu, but a 13 year old too? I can’t imagine why people would not find that the best opponent to play EVER!
This just in: All Ryu players are newbies and scrubs.
Thanks for that revelation Caim, I’m really glad you post on the same forums as me.
“waaah he’s using a character I can’t beat”
lol meh you should hear my parents after I tell them if you guys don’t care to take me to casuals I’ll take a bus. I’m 15 really want to get in the scene a lot but the one thing holding me back is my parents, hell, they won’t even apporove of me going to drivers and getting a liscense, I’m like the youngest out of the whole MN scene as far as I know for pretty much every fighting game…even smash. Anyway yea we need more younger players, it’d be nice.
reply to all hatemail with “I’m 12 and what is this?”
God, I wish this was true for me. 17 years old and still can’t get out of the house. If I do, it’s a 9pm curfew. Can’t fuckin’ wait for college.
have him master arcade mode before entering online mode.
