Well, youâre wrong. Most -kids- do, itâs a parenting issue, if you buy them a gun then you teach them responsibilities associated with guns. Iâve owned a gun since I was 8, didnât ever actually handle it while loaded until I was 10, and didnât have unrestricted access to it (it was in a gun safe) until 16.
itâs easy to say âwell the parents obviously fucked up!â but there are lots of good parents that end up with completely fucked up kids through no fault of their own. i feel really bad for the father since i canât really imagine what could be worse than finding out that your wife was murdered by your psycho son.
There isnât anything inherently wrong with giving a child a gun at that age so long as proper safety training is given. Unrestricted access is a different story, however.
Iâve had people threaten to shoot and rape my mom. I bet this kid was the type to say shit like that, but decided to take his rage out on his own mom. If this pattern continues, and this is the first domino, then every black guy within firing range of a kid like this is in trouble.
edit: oh and I forgot about the gays too. âNiggerâ and âfaggotâ have to be the most commonly used words in online gaming behind âa,â âtheâ and âlag.â
Flash fact: while a sense of right vs. wrong develops in early childhood, the ability to rationally judge the appropriate level of risk in decision-making deteriorates upon puberty and doesnât right itself again until adulthood.
In other words, when teenagers do stupid things, it isnât necessarily that they didnât think it through or didnât realize there could be consequences. Itâs because they underestimate risk and overestimate reward by nature.
That obviously doesnât explain this kidâs actions, but it should be something people take into consideration when they decide where they stand on teenage gun ownership.
Yeah, itâs easy to take as a given that people who go on to do fucked up things were shaped by a bad environment, but some people are genuinely wired the wrong way from the get-go. Crank out enough human beings and a few of them are statistically guaranteed to have a screw loose.
