No, they would have ran the hell out of there like everyone else, at least I hope so otherwise you’d have a theater full of disorientated and scared thugs shooting in every direction because bangers aren’t really renowned for their marksmanship.
I think this situation would have been a very difficult situation for even highly trained professionals to deal with initially (dark, toxic smoky room full of panicked people running everywhere), so obviously I’m not going to rely on some random sparsely trained (I’m being generous) scrub with a concealed carry license that ANYone can get to save the day, It’s more likely that they’ll make the situation worse.
I’m not against Concealed carry in general, but in my opinion it should be an absolute LAST resort to defend yourself when running, begging, pissing yourself, etc doesn’t work.
I also believe that there should be some sort of comprehensive physical and psychological training/testing before giving someone a CCL because I have personally seen people who can’t even load their own damn firearms and can’t hit a stationary target from 5 yards away that have a CCL, so yeah, forgive me if I don’t feel safer being surrounded by armed idiots like this.

Out of this whole fantasy, the “100% proven crime” part is the most fantastical of all.
We live in the most peacefull times in the history of mankind (that’s a fact). In the past, we had extreme punishments for crime, but does getting drown, quartered, burned, shot, electricuted and whiped stop anybody from murdering?
I dont think that torturing a murderer does satisfy a family… It doesn’t bring the victim back and only sets you on the same level as the murderer…losing a loved person is hard enough

Off tangent but ever since buddy that was on the Greyhound got his head sawed off with a machete by the dude behind him I’ve been extra anctious as far as who is sitting behind me on public transportation. I always try to make sure I’m in a seat where no one can snake me like that.
That’s not really saying much because I have seen officers who are just terrible shots.
I have no doubt thugs can hit things at long distances-- whether or not they were actually aiming at them is questionable (collateral damage is a bitch).

I’ll bring this up as a counterpoint – it’s harder to get assault rifles than handguns. What if people with the AR-15s decide to shoot up a place? So what if handguns are concealable, that won’t matter if you need to defend people. I’d at least have some sort of gun than be stuck with none in this situation.
