None of those 3 things can be done during pushblock in MvC2.
Note that this is DURING pushblock, and pushblock-guard-cancel is mentioned separately right above it.

you why the pw damage nerfs??? gah… no likey. also not liking having air F+mk no longer comboable after st.hp…but its meh i guess we have buer cancels now so maybe those are increasing the damage way to much so something had to be done… or maybe pws damage was just flatout killing some other characters damage… nerfs still look bad but meh, wait till i play it.

Cross-Over Counter?

Have you noticed she’s been doing well at Salty Cupcakes? That’s WITH the changes. Mostly they’re there to balance out the fact that she gets many more sections per combo than most other characters do by virtue of fly cancels. s.HP to fly MK is now a 1-frame high reset instead, combining that with s.HP fly D+MP to cr.LK or throw is still pretty good. Scythe cancels give you hella more stuff you can do and all of it leads back into mixups, not to mention she can combo after air supers now, and is able to combine all 5 of them in a combo…

The general theme of the patch is “shorter combos with more opportunities for mixups”.

You could already do that.

After testing starter damages currently with the current buer damages, it does definitely look like these were needed nerfs, the damage currently can get pretty insane with buer doing 1400k and being cancelable into from st.hp which does 1000… Its alot of damage real quick. C.lk,c.mk,st.hp xx lk buer currently already does 3165 which is pretty ridic.

So im happy with the nerfs, ive already found a new throw starter bnb and whatnot… Just need that patch… :frowning:

Wow, 1 frame overhead instead, I’m very interested to try out new Painwheel. I want to mess around with the new Buer Reaper so badly, I can forsee that opening a LOT of doors.

Adjustments. Really friggin’ awesome adjustments. When you get your hands on her, it’ll all make sense. Once you do the air super fly cancel air super without using your OTG… you’ll never look back. Not too mention you just can’t link j.mk off the s.hp. You can still use j.mk for all the other stupidly awesome hitconfirms from before.

I still laugh to myself everything time I get a full combo off catching someone in the air with j.mp fly cancel j.mk (another fly into j.mk if super jump height) into restand etc. I love Painwheel :smiley:

Yo… It isnt a one frame overhead, that would be ridiculous. There is a 1 frame gap between hitstun and when the jmk hits… From how im reading it anyways, though there is a huge timing difference between the high and low in that reset making it timing counterable, its neither here nor there all the 2 and 3 frame unseeable resets that i use should be intact.

The one that is going to hurt many players afaik is pw getting her st.hp hitstun nerfed as that means that the st.hp xx fly crossup jhk will probably now be jumpoutable and for many people that was her best reset as it reversed controls not allowing mashed supers out yet also not allowing hold up back towork… So pretty cheap all around. Though i never used it much at alll cause i felt my resets were much cheaper and did more damage to boot than jhk starters.

Still, yeah, change one thing here or there and itdoes effect things down the stream… Butterfly effect yo.
