oh wow the merch shop has gotten a lot better since i last went on there. i may have to order a custom bella tshirt…
@MikeZ
In the patched version with Painwheel, is it possible to Throw, fly xx Buer Thresher and have enough time to OTG after the super?
Are the Georges fully cancellable into each other(ex. hk into lk)? Also, how do they function within ips? If I cancel a normal into one, then cancel that into another one that hits before the first, does it count as a continuation of the original chain or is it considered separate?
They wouldnt combo anyway unless you have a multihit that doesnt knock them away and last a long time (Filia’s c.mk) but you’d get at most two of the georges to hit. But to answer you question, if your combo doesnt drop, it should be the same chain since it *should *count as a single special move like Fortune’s rekkas.

I was working on variations on the end portion, because it probably won’t build enough meter for the second super, post-patch. I found that if I changed the last section to s.lp, s.lk, s.mp, s.hk, I could cancel into fake teleport. The drop naturally happens at the right time for everything to combo, as long as it’s not steamroller or balls. Furthermore, it also works if I cancel into qcf.hk, but only on someone light, like Peacock. On someone like Parasoul, she drops before the plane hits. I was thinking that I could cancel the qcf.hk into another bomb(or use a different bomb sequence) and use that to bridge the gap. Of course, there are potential timing issues and it removes the advantage of using the plane over the fake teleport(more time to move away from the corner/set up a bait/reset), but I just want to know if it’s possible.
Edit: it’s possible to get mk bomb to work, too. You can also change the last s.hk to s.mk and it’ll still combo, as well as create a higher bounce on genric lv3 drops. It messes with the timing, but it’s possible it allows for more things to be done. Then again, at that point in the combo, you’ve just about run out of things to do.
A slightly random question about the patch (if it hasn’t been answered already). Will the patch be forced to be released onto both consoles at the same time (as in, if it gets held up by microsoft, but sony approves it, then sony has to wait before they can release the patch) or can it be released asynchronously?
That’s actually a very good question.
Add it to the list of things to ask MikeZ during the next Salty Cupcakes. Great question.
I think simultaneous release requirements are only for the initial release. I seem to remember there being some difference in when a Blazblue update was available for each console. There was some sort of problem with Valkenhayn, on the 360.
Well, methink since PS and XB does not have crossplatform play they do not require such a thing. Also patches for two systems are pretty different.
I suppose the same can be said for DLC. [thinks of PS3 Skyrim]
Fortunately, SG seems to have the dlc thing in check
Any news on when this is coming out?
Oh hey, posts!
- As far as I’ve been told, simultaneous release is a requirement for anything people have to pay for. A free patch doesn’t fall under this category, so it could come out on PS3 first, but the DLC colors do.
- I have no idea if the limited-edition shirts will ever be sold again, but I sort of thought that one shot was the point of “limited edition”. (^.^)
- Peacock’s bomb cancels can be done in any order (HK-LK-MK, LK-MK-HK, etc) and they DO NOT count as a continuation of the same chain - the opposite of Fortune’s rekkas. An example: corner LP->MP->HK xx QCT+LK, LP->MP->HK xx QCT+LK works fine because the 2nd QCT+LK counts as part of the chain. If you end with HK xx QCT+HK xx QCT+LK, the QCT+LK will trigger IPS. The QCT+HK still counts as part of the same chain, but there is a break between the bombs. This is on purpose, with very good reason after I played around with it. (^.^)
- Painwheel throw, fly xx air super, fly, D+LP OTG works fine unless you accidentally OTG with the air super.
- “When is when is when is when is when” I don’t know. I should get a shirt made that just says “As soon as I know you’ll know, so don’t ask.”
Someone should make some iron-on Skullgirls patches. Just have some characters and the logo in the middle, then around the edges it says “Stop Asking Questions”.
I notice that the front page hasn’t updated with all the new changes(such as certain supers being canceled by certain special moves, more character changes, etc) Is this purposeful or did someone forget to change them(or can they be changed at all?)
Okay, you win, I’ll do it real soon here.
(I keep meaning to get to that, but I have to wrangle them all to one place first.)
Ok thanks. I was hoping you would do something like this so I can see the whole list so I can tell my friends all the changes being done for this game.
That reminds me, did you ever get a response about adding “Slightly Different Edition” to the title screen?
Okay, first posts all updated with new junk. This is the FINAL NEW JUNK, it’s outta my hands already. That’s cause for smiling too.
About adding Slightly Different Edition to the title screen…the title screen is very fragile and I decided it was a better idea not to touch it. :^( But that IS my official name for the patch, haha.
too stupid hype oh god my pants
