You get a dash cancel on hit or whiff of the last hit of air hairball. I’ve gotten light attacks to combo from in air dash cancels, and I’ve gotten light attacks and st.mp to combo off of HK air hairball to ground dash cancels. This gives you the ability to loop something like cr.MP sjc instant HK hairball for a sweet and easy corner carry, and it gives you meterless damage off of airthrows. Of course you can reset off of any of that too.

I’ve never had any issues with Samson wallbounces. Are you moving forward before the wallbounce occurs? As long as you stand still or walk backwards, you’ll get the wallbounce.
Hey guys, news about the patch by Ravidrath.
"…And we’re still working on the patch, of course.
Most of the programming and tech bugs seem to be out of the way now, so I’m mostly cleaning up localization bugs now that Konami’s beating on the FIGS versions. There are lot of those, since we added all-new character tutorials and completely relocalized the FIGS tutorials so they aren’t unfollowable gibberish any more.
Also, I can’t announce it officially who it is yet, but… a contract with a Japanese publisher was finalized this week!"
Well saying thats good to hear would be an understatement
Who want to take bets on who is the japanese publisher?
do you think it could be arc system works? cuz i here that their ggpo on their most recent title is really good
They don’t use GGPO
oh, what do they use?
ArcSys uses a classic netcode (no rollback) which is selfmade and just happens to be good.
Imagine if its Capcom “Hey I publish your game on Japan if you make Darkstalkers 4”.
Yeah, it also buffers before a round starts, thats why it annoys people when they skip the intro, it makes the buffer time shorter.
It would be odd if it wasn’t Konami.
Regardless of the publisher, this could open the doors toward a Japanese arcade edition!
Arcades are all the rage in Japan

DUN DUN DUN DUUUUUUN
Man, if I could sit down to play Skullgirls in an arcade over here that would be some serious hype. Of course Ravi doesn’t actually mention an arcade version specifically, so I’ll just leave that in the Here’s Hoping pile.
MyLifeIsAnRPG mentioned this before, but with the serious amount of changes in this patch maybe rebranding it as a Super Skullgirls with a new splash title screen would actually be a good thing here. I mean, new colors, new tutorials, a massively expanded training mode, game changing balance tweaks across the board, various bug fixes and move lists is a pretty incredible free patch. It deserves to get a bit of recognition in the media.
A new sub title title would certainly garner more interest from game news sites and their readers than just a patch with a lot of stuff in it - especially since this is coming for free and everyone usually expects title updates (in fighters especially) to cost them something.
Skull Girls: Take 2?
I like that.
Unfortunately for newer games a new name almost always means new characters as well, its like an unwritten law that if its new it has new fools…
Having said that, revamped t-mode, working ggpo, new chain timing, major character balance tweaks, movelists, increased speed etc, means that its worth it to rename it, but that doesnt meant that it will go down well, plus it would probably take more time as a new screen needs to be made which means artists, more bug shit, maybe even a full re release.
It certainly looks to be vastly different than the sg weve gotten used to.

skullgirls : second cut.
an arcade release would be totally amazing though!
I don’t care what they name it, I’m already reviewing it as a seperate title for my other job at cheat code Central when I told my editor how much had changed he said he was surprised this wasn’t a full blown sequel.

Skullgirls: director’s cut
I still like the idea of “slightly different edition”, thats been the name for as long as it has existed.
