(11/20 PSN!) SG: Slightly Different Edition patch notes

But artists don’t need to work on the patch

So we can dream, lol.

Um, can Cerebella choose the direction she knocks her opponent after he DH-US cancel? Cause that would be awesome, to just choose the direction of the DP.

Still need to get payed, though

Mike said in the stream that the people responsible for making DLC aren’t being paid or something. He said also that this was the immediate future of the game, likely meaning that nothing will be worked on until the patch is done.

You need to watch some streams, bro.

The sad part about that is that the original upshot to dlc was that it would prevent developers from being laid off between projects, because they were continually adding content to the game. This has led to some shady situations with pre-order/day-1 dlc, but that’s generally been the excuse. Here’s a game that’s built to be updated, in a more consumer-friendly fashion than usual, but is being prevented/delayed, for unknown reasons. Sucks for everyone involved. All we can do is hope things get sorted out and continue support, if/when content is added.

I had asked Mike Z about that, assuming that it would be like normal Devil Horns. It’s always forward, but you can combo into Kancho later if you really want the other side.

So looking forward to the update. Its like waiting for a new game and as such prevents me from getting either Persona or TTT2 thus saving lots of money. At last * will be able to* play a game outside of the UK and not have it crash my PS3!!! Happy days. I actually think thats where the game has suffered most, the non-ability to play players from anywhere. I know of the bug due to this web site but the amount of people I have had to explain the problem too has been significant…the causal fan who does not come to this site just think the game is broken…have to work hard to bring those people back once patch is released.

I would buy any DLC this game released at all. Seriously.

Like, a DLC that turned all hitsounds into farts, I would buy.

I just want to buy my PC port…

And who was the one who edited wikipedia release date, do you want give me a heart attack?

Microsoft Windows
Fall 2012/TBA 2013”

Only if it was april fools dlc…and I’d still have to be in a really good mood to buy that -_-

It’s not about getting good content, it’s about giving RL well-deserved munneh.

Will Skullgirls have any presence at TGS this weekend? I don’t expect a booth or anything, but any team members heading over for super secret Japanese market penetration meetings?

And speaking of, I’m a teacher in a Japanese school here so I wandered up to the Art Club today and ended up painting a portrait of Double for funzies. A bunch of the students came up and were asking what it was, along with browsing my sketch pad and asking who Minette was. Ultimately a handful of them said they’d go download the demo. Gonna build myself a scene in this town.

I’d rather give them mah munnehs for good content. Thus why I bought the game at full price (a rare thing for me) and a plan on buying all the dlc (perhaps separately)

This. I’ll buy all the dlc colors even though I won’t use all the characters and I’ve never purchased dlc colors/costumes for other games. I just want to support reverge.

I’ve got about 1-2 dollars in spare change from previous purchases on my PSN account, if thats enough to pick up a color pack or two then I certainly wouldn’t mind. Not like I was going to use it for anything else afterall ^^;

…you mean $15?

I mean, knowing what you know about the game right now, would you have paid $20? $25? If so, it’s still a bargain, regardless of having paid “full price”. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah…you can complain that your over Skullgirls for whatever reason (even though you got a free demo to try out in the first place), but you can’t complain it was a waste of money since You get enough content to justify $15 and the quality of that said content is impressive. Better then some of the $60 games i invested which did not justify the price. This is not even factoring the additional post release support this game is getting from the free patches to dlc support

Tbqh sg in its pre patched form is worth 30 bucks. Straight up.

In its patched form assuming ggpo is working correct, plus all the training mode tweaks and added movelists. It is a full game that could easily be sold for full price. The only thing holding it back from that is smaller roster. But small roster isnt a particularly great reason to solely make a game cheaper.

If it released now in its post patch form i would gladly pay $60 for it.

-dime

Let me put it this way. I literally dont pay for psn games over $5 unless it’s on discount and I’d still pay for this game if it was priced $20-25. $30 is pushing it though. This and Persona 3 FES are the exceptions.

Can one of the patchguys (aka people who played the patched version) tell me

  1. What exactly can one do after Filias Air Hairball? (I know one can “combo” after it, but… with what.)
  2. Is Greg.Samson always wallbouncing properly now? (I don’t even know why it doesn’t do that in the unpatched version… and when it doesn’t :xeye: )
