its not about when you started fighting games. Old school games in general will work, any memorable codes from something (most likely by Konami) that is NOT the konami code. hell, I’ve been playing fighters since I was like 5 years old and all I could actually remember was two different codes.
How about instead of speculating everyone who has the game try every code you can think of in any game screen that would make sense. Like during the intro for example. And state what it was, what it was from and whether or not it worked. Progress will be made this way.

No actually in an online match I unlocked filias 9th and it gave me the notification as soon as the game ended without ever going back to the menu. It was during the KO screen.
And wampa those are the shortcuts for the colors once theyve been unlocked already -_-

The sonic the hedgehog cheat codes are pretty legendary maybe them?
I thought the same thing at first, but apparently people already tried the Sonic 1 code. The Sonic 2 code involved picking soundtest tracks, which I don’t think this game has. I think the Sonic 3 code was… actually, I don’t remember what that code was. Something about holding a button while the Sega intro played and then doing something in the save file select screen?
According to the all knowing google the following is Sonic codes:
Left, Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Up, Up, Up (should be entered while ingame on Angle island)
and
Up-up-down-down-up-up-up-up which should be entered while the SEGA logo fades.
