Ross, I’ve become a front page blogger for SRK. I thought I’d start by writing up a tournament report for the event, but I need to be able to link pics and (ideally) videos.
Do you have an eta on when you could upload finals matches to youtube? I’d like to post as quickly as possible while the event is still fresh.
Thanks to Portland for putting on a great tournament. Those ST finals were amazing. Thanks to Ross for doing so much organizing and a huge thanks to Cloudkap for recording with that great camera, and lend us that handy-cam to get random matches.
It was good to see everyone down there and meets more people from Portland. Hopefully we’ll get to see you guys more if your heading up for SF4.

andrew didn’t take pictures this year, and i didn’t see anyone taking them on the floor, so i don’t think there are any.
I can pull some half decent stills from my bigger cam. I’ll be capturing footage tomorrow morning/afternoon, but not all the tapes yet probably. I gotta meet up with fatbear and get the other tape and camera back.
Actually I have your other camera. haha. But yeah I can get it back to you sometime.

Question, who shot most of the ST matches with my little camera? -Thanks a ton, you did a good job i.d.-ing the players ect.

Brent and myself did commentary on ST matches… I am really interested to see those videos because it was my first time trying to commentate, and I wonder if it’s either interesting sounding or just bloody obnoxious. Most likely annoying, but oh well I tried.
Haha, yeah, I’m feeling the same way. You did really good commentary, while talking about different things players can do in certain situations.

i just had a crazy idea for the next <seasonal> showdown, if we have one.
special events where you select your character using random select.
for example, in a game like cvs2, your groove and characters are chosen using the random selection options. i don’t know how it would work for other games.
I’d win everything. I’m good with hella characters in hella games but not great with any single characters in their respective games. It’s my downfall. Stupid attention span…
