HE DOESN’T?! :amazed:
In other news, this ZP fucker is warming up on me. His response to the BRAWL IS BEST GAME EVAR hate mail was fucking brillant.
“by the way its alright you can swear over the internet your mum probably isnt going to read it i know this because she is too busy being fucked my me”
Manly as fuck.
I knew he was doing this sooner or later. The game itself ISNT that bad but still he made me cry to death.
It is. It really, really is. Am I the only one who thinks that the good Sonic games can be counted on two hands? Allow me to illustrate.
Sonic The Hedgehog
Sonic The Hedgehog 2
Sonic The Hedgehog 3
Sonic & Knuckles
Sonic The Hedgehog CD
Sonic Advance
Sonic Advance 2
Sonic Advance 3
Sonic Adventure
Done. I did it on two hands. Nine good games. How many have there been that made the loyal fanbase inhale helium while insisting that Shadow is anything other than the worst character design ever? Granted, since it’s me saying this, you could call me a hypocrite, as I continue to snap up every Mortal Kombat title that comes out on day fucking one of its release. The difference with me, though, is that I acknowledge that the past several Mortal Kombat games were fucking garbage, and for me, the hilariously bad gameplay is part of the appeal of the series. It’s like watching Manos: The Hands of Fate or something. Also, Shaolin Monks was fucking AWESOME. Sonic has had a Shaolin Monks equivalent too, meaning a game of a differing genre from the norm that turned out to be pretty good. I speak of Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, and like Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, I’m lead to wonder if quirky DS strategy games aren’t a better road for Sonic to take.
There are only 2 things that honestly make the game worth playing.
- Day time stages.
- The extra features/content in the game.
By in no way is the game great (according to reviewers and some hardcore fans) but it is in the least bit playable (since I’ve beaten the game on PS2/played it on PS3) to most because of the thought of making it to another day stage. That is a mistake on Sonic Team’s part of the mere thought of the werehog and how it came to be. But I dont even have a problem with the werehog, I have a problem with how much it comes up on most of the gameplay. So yeah, I could get where the hate comes from for it from that perspective. If the werehog didnt show up as much as regular Sonic (with more day time stages of course), its safe to assume they would give Unleashed a better score than a fucking 3 (which they gave Sonic '06 a 4 which is incredibly stupid since Sonic '06 is the worst Sonic game in existence)
Also, dont you find it weird that the PS2/Wii (7/7.5) versions get higher marks than PS3/360 (4/4)?
There are some problems they need to fix for the next gen games, but even you can agree. Its a step up from Sonic '06, honestly.
I just lump them into the category of 2-D Sonic games(awesome), 3-D Sonic games(none of them will ever be worth playing, and you’re deluded if you think otherwise), and Sonic Adventure(exception to the rule). Easier that way, and 100% fact.
Truth. I think this is the only time in platforming history where the first 3D attempt is infinitely better than all later ones.
He Really tore into Sonic. He hasnt been that hard on a game in a while.
Those 3 games that you left out either blatantly or because you forgot were recieved well…and I could throw in the first 2 sonic games on the game gear but I’m not going to go there. I find your claim of Shadow to be the worst character design to be funny especially considering that he’s the 2nd popular character in the series (and that’s despite the bullshit that Sega put him through with Shadow the Hedgehog and 06). There are way worse characters than Shadow through out the series.
‘FROGGGYYYY!?’
Super Mario 64 says hi. It certainly isn’t so severe, but Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy aren’t in the same ballpark as Super Mario 64. Not even close.
He’s popular because he’s a fucking stereotype. He’s exactly the same character as Cloud Strife and all the other Cloud Strife wannabes. Also, Sonic Adventure 2 is one of the worst games on the Gamecube. I’d rather play Geist.
