Zero- Combo Thread

Hey, I’m new to fighting games of this style, so comboing like this is pretty new to me. However, I made a bit more sense of all the combos by breaking them into pieces, then analyzing complicated combos by their pieces. My naming and organization is kind of weird, but I couldn’t think of a better way to do it. So, this is that list, and also a list of all of the non-partner specific combos that have been mentioned in the zero threads. I guess this is mostly to help out fellow pubs that may think in a similar way to me.

Why wouldn’t it? Anytime a lvl 2 can be used, a lvl 3 will do the same job, but better.

not sure if its been mentioned but you can juggle in the corner with a level 2 charge on the ground. strict timing but very possible. until im able to do it 100% of the time im not doing it in a match but its there. came across it on accident while trying to extend combos.

oh the bbq must have been more than 10% i gotcha.

A 10% BBQ usually ends up with more damage reduction.

I dont know if this helps at all but this is the combo i usually use for ZERO.(WII-Remote& Nunchuk)

A,A,? or ? + A,Launch, Up, A,A, DownLeft or DownRight + B.

i am experimenting with different timings but i cannot get the loop in the corner to work at all =\

is there amy combos like that in which i can learn with an assist from Yat#2? if u kno them can u please post em or maybe a video sumtin helpful thanx

Those are some wicked combos. The ones I use are pretty much all without the Z-Buster (I’ve yet to get the hang of it), and uses Sogenmu whenever I can.

A pretty basic one, I think that anybody can do is:

  1. A, B, C, 6C

And then they could just branch it off, like:

  1. A, B, C, 6C, Baroque, A, B, C, 6C, Ryuenjin
  2. A, B, C, 6C, Ryuenjin
  3. A, B, C, 6C, Baroque, A, B, C, 3C, Jump, A,B,A,B, Ryuenjin
  4. Sogenmu, Jump-in C, A, B, C, 6C, Baroque, A, B, Partner, C, 6C, Ryuenjin
  5. Combo #5, but after last C, 3C, A,B,A,B, Ryuenjin

I’ve got to get the hang of the Z-Buster, though. Combo wise, which is the best version to charge? A, B or C?

I haven’t used Zero since the first week of the game, but I’m pretty sure A is your go to charge.

Yo Samurai, if you want to explain how to do the Sougenmu infinite in the EVO 2010 Combo Project thread it would be apreesh. I didn’t find it out, you did, & I feel like it’d fit for the vid.

Just thought I’d share this here in the zero thread as well. And might as well have a transcript for it.

I rock a zero and tekkaman team. They are a solid team together. The first vid shows my basic bnb with zero except for the last one. That one isn’t really too useful unless I want to switch out with some damage (I could do an air switch but it’s nice to look at some colors once in a while).

The notation/transcript of zero’s combos

1st vid at 0:27 basic bnb with a charge in hand (to those that may not know, the first charge isn’t necessary for the main combo)

*Notes: Time the DHC for tekkaman to come out just as Zero hits the ground for both supers to hit. If you mess up by doing it a little earlier there is still a chance that tekkamans super will still hit.

*Notes: You can call Tekkamans assist during the start of f.C towards the second f.C hit. In the corner its best to call him out towards the second hit of f.C because he might just grab them higher up in the air which would make the standing C whiff.

*Notes: DHC to zero has to be done on the last hit so that karas can fall like a charged shot. You don’t have to do it during the last hit. Ive done it before and after the lance sticks to the ground during the Voltekka super, but it’s much harder to time. The d.B or standing A will more than likely not hit than hit if it’s not the last hit.

General combo notes: In most cases there doesnt have to be a delay in jumping after launcher from Tekkamans assist. As I stated earlier in the first section, A delay in jumping after launcher can net you a level 3 charge. There is more to the delay reason. When coming down with a dive or comboing from a jumping C./d,C it seems that after Tekkamans assist comes out and zero launches the opponent, zeros second B in j.BB would miss because zero ends up higher so delay in general should be fine.

Well that does it.

Roll’s assist pops them up in the air. while Ryu’s doesn’ i.e standing A>B>C>f.C>Ryu>A>B>Cf.C they will stay on the ground When roll’s assist hits the next hit after that will elevate them. Both assists are similar in zero’s combos because they can both net a level 3 charge in or outside the corner by A>B>C(2hit)>d.C>f.C>Ryu/roll>B>C>df.C>J.BB>J.BB> release 3 and continue. Roll’s assist takes longer to come out so hit the P button as soon as you press f.C

Was what I was noticing as well with the elevating portion.

I was referring to this combo from a jp video {assuming I wrote it out right}:

Yeah have to Assist earlier as well during 236C than Ryu too

after looking at it again the infinites is combo into any ground chain that leaves them standing. start with sB then do cB and hold for buster shot do sC for all three hits to allow time to charge release the shot then repeat with sB. i didnt get the notation that he had written up before but that should be a simple explanation of it. im probably looking at it wrong but doesnt seem like he makes it to level 2 buster though but thats just what i see playin on pad. you could probably get more reps in provided you have the meter and are fast but i just actually tried it out for the first time 5 minutes ago :lol:

ninja poof (yeah i said poof) for those who go by rythm with their combos it goes tap, tap (fast) pause then sC for three hits (the hits make a slow count) release B to hear laser laser then repeat…if that makes sense kinda hard describing noise on a computer
