GG, but kinda laggy. 
Lately there has been a jerk that has been using the bugs in the server to crash it. Unfortuatly Iām usually at work when it happens. So the server sits jammed up by this jerk till I can reset it.
He even had the gall to AIM one of the Admins, admit to doing it, and then say āI did it to force the developmentā When in reality, heās just pissed because his offer to help with the server was turned down.
As for the SP2 Issue. The New firewall that they installed has a bug that denies any unknown service access to a port, sometimes even when ādisabledā and doesnāt even give you the option to allow it. If anyone knows the fix, Please feel free to PM me or Mail me with it.

edit: Got it running, but I canāt connect, nor can I make a server. My Norton firewall is ok, but is it my SP2 pack? any ideas/ help?
Oh iām on a laptop, throu wireless router, but it should still work, I think.

So you canāt connect to the server (zbattle.net) or you canāt connect to your opponent? You should disable your Norton firewall when attempting to play as it oftens inhibits the connection between you & your opponent.
I canāt connect to my opponent. zbattle is ok.
Iāll try it again with Norton off. Hopefully it works, without trojaning up my comp.

well, looks like zbattle is down until the actual zbattle author does something to fix it. it seems, veebās server IP address has changed, and he has no way to change what server IP that the zbattle server software needs to connect to. so basically, its gonna be down indefinitely until the author does something, which hasnt been done in almost a year unfortunatelyā¦ back to znet for me i guess
zbattle is back, you have to do some tinkering with your config thoughā¦
-Go to zbattle.ini
-change the server ath.perez.cx or whatever to āwww.newcon.orgā
-start gaming as usual

I am sorry man. I am totally confused. Could you explain in more detail where that ini thing is. I donāt seem to find no ini thing on zbattle program. I am desperate to play some games. Hook us up amigo. Thanks.

-go into the folder where you installed ZBattle (usually is in C:\Program Files\zbattle.net)
-open the file zbattle.net.ini(this is the file that looks like a text file); you can open it with notepad
it should look like this inside:

server=iperez.ath.cx
serverport=4398
playername=dramatics
startport=4000
endport=8000
programpath=C:\Program Files\zbattle.net\ZSNES136\Zsnesw.exe
rompath=C:\Program Files\zbattle.net\ZSNES136
connectonstartup=1
what you need to change is the āserverā line, change it to āwww.newcon.orgā
now the config will look like this:
[options]
server=www.newcon.org
serverport=4398
playername=dramatics
startport=4000
endport=8000
programpath=C:\Program Files\zbattle.net\ZSNES136\Zsnesw.exe
rompath=C:\Program Files\zbattle.net\ZSNES136
connectonstartup=1
so basically you are only changing 1 lineā¦ āiperez.ath.cxā to āwww.newcon.orgā.
save the file, and connect to Zbattle. It should connect normally
