When Zsnes loads up hit alt+enter to enter full screen mode. If it works its probably a video driver issue which is preventing you from from playing in a window. Try downloading the latest drives for you graphics card.

I am using cable a wireless router, so will zbattle still work?
I tried to join a game but, the player said its ethier a firewall of the router.

Zbattle will work fine with a router but you will need to forward udp port 7845 in/out (to connect to other players) and tcp port 4000 in/out (for downloading). At the moment these ports are closed which is why you are having problems connecting to other players.
To forward (open) these ports you will have to access your routers configuration page so you will need to know the ip address of your router which you can obtain from your manual or the manufacturers website. This number is usually entered into the address bar of your web browser. (Sorry i cant be of any more help here the ip address of a router differs from manufacture to manufacture). Once you gain access look for something called Port forwarding or Network Address Port Translation (NAPT).
There are some really good tutorials on how to set up port forwarding if you are unsure. Check out the support section in zbattle forums (http://forums.newcon.org)
If you are using windows xp you will also need to turn off the built in firewall. To do this go to the control panel>Network and Dial-up Connections then right click on the “Local area connection” that you are using and uncheck “protect my computer”.

I would play on Znet but nobody wants to play. Some people are just total dicks, like that gumby guy. He refused to play me (I guess I’m not ‘worthy’ of playing him…he’d rather sit there whining about not having anyone to play against), and then talks shit about dgv (Dark Gaiden/Vintage) using macros. With assholes like that…why bother? At least dgv plays people. I played dgv and Darth Ryu (I think that was the name) and it was kinda fun. Had games with inverse too I think (I forgot). If more people played, it would be cool. But usually it looks like people just idle.
Edit- Read the thread title…guess Ill try this ZBattle thing out if its different than Znet.

I also faced Atmos he whup me with his Chun and Dhalsim but his Dhalsim is okie =P so is his Chun but I keep getting messed up by Chun’s close stand hk

actually I have one question
when it’s Ryu vs. Ryu and I’m corner trapped with fireballs
is it good to miss the lp fireball with a shoryuken or jump back and fight back with a fireball of your own to push him back then jump forward or something bah I’m stuck against Ryu’s corner trap also
and Dhalsim’s c. lk -> throw after being knocked down from the air @_@ I use Ryu most of the time so Shoryuken is the thing to do right? but when do I do it? sometimes I’m just randomly trying to bust it out whenever but it never works oh well

wow >_< end of the day I started winning some of my matches lol
12-5 against Takoi (z-net) and 10-0 against Konok (zbattle) and Atmos bah he beat my ass 11-2 lol
Takoi has a good chun but he can’t handle ticks either like me
I realized that specials get rid of recovery when someone hits you right before the throw so planning to practice that
also I remember there some guy who used to walk up to me right before I was about to wake up and he hit Ryu’s c. mk then linked it with something else into a fireball
well I could never srk on wake up maybe it was just me but … can you hit a normal right before their wake up which would stop the invincible shoryuken? and could someone tell me the timing?

You think thats funny. I fought some guy named JR and he had some skill but nothing I couldn’t top. I really started laying into him and then he pulled!
So, then he opens another game session asking for “SSF2 Expert Players” so I open one that says “Its official, JR is a Loser”
So he closes his session…then a minute later someone named “Ryu” joins my session and says “Hey, wait a sec ok”
so I say “Ok”
Then he types “Jumpsuit is a blah blah…you suck” then leaves!
He went through all that trouble to change names n stuff just to insult me! I feel honored! :D:lol:
