Zangief strategy etc

I think I have everything done except for the matchup stuff at this point. The rest is just fluff like adding links to useful stuff or editing for clarity/grammar/mistakes. It’d be cool if I added pics for each move from Rufus’s website to the movelist section (basically making it more like the ST wiki movelist section for gief), but I can see that taking forever to do.

Diagonal Jump HK overhead is 1 frame link, diagonal Jump LK/MK is 2 frame link, great for finishing the oponent when nearly KO or nearly dizzy, these also trade with many reversals, n even if the oponent blocks, the block stun gives u chances to grab the oponent when landing if he didnt react quickly

Well, if you are sure that the different SPDs have different windows, that can be added to the original Gief section too. How’d you check that, BTW? I couldn’t get a version that works with the lua that does not have frame skipping.

Edit: shouldn’t the match-ups be mostly similar?

When I was testing SPD against Honda’s Headbutts, I noticed that HP SPD wouldn’t work against LP/MP Headbutts when done at the same time. Then I just altered the timing of SPD’s and Headbutts for each version until they stopped working. You can use Hyper Street Fighter 2 on turbo 0 to get a version of ST with no frame-skipping. I also tested it on US ST with Pasky’s HUD to confirm that it is not just a HSF2 only thing. I’m not sure if it’s 100% exactly like ST if only SSF2 and ST are allowed, but it either way it behaved the same way in both games. Even though there was frame-skipping, there was still a noticeable difference between when LP and HP SPD stopped being active.

There’s also an element of randomness involved too when the invincibility and grab frames start/end on the same frame. Sometimes they are invincible first and other times they get grabbed first. Sometimes the invincibility frames run out first or the grab frames run out first.

While the match-ups are mostly the same, there were only like 3 characters done anyway.

Gief’s lp green hand is way better than his SPD, I love how its a safe meaty
