Hey Preppy, is there any Japanese matches out there? I know they don’t really like Marvel but I’m interested in seeing their style of play…
I believe all the low-tier Japanese matches at Terrory have been taken down… I’ve got a bunch ( see http://zachd.com/mvc2/fulllist.txt , look for either your favorite Japanese player or under the “Japan” folder) and will likely put up highlights as time goes on.
The most remarkable things about Japanese play: they’re really really good with their low-tier characters. They seem to be very technically-oriented for the most part. And of course their top players play Iron Man.
EDIT: The ChomboFriends videos are still up at least.

OK, Shady K, David Lee, and Japan footage (from Magnetro) is now largely up and linked to. I’ll probably put up more Japanese footage later, but this is a good start.
I probably should put up a Cableguy match in the DRAMA section too. Can’t believe there aren’t any already.
We need to standardize on how we do file-name titling. So hard to know what a video is without watching it. =\
Before I got lazy, I used to re-name all my vids.
Format = [player name] (player side #) vs. [player name] (player side #)_[number of matches] -special note- (Event/tourney/arcade -date-)
Ex. = Justin W (2P) vs. Sanford (1P) 1st set_001-007 - Grand Finals (Breakpoint)
- Players’ names are in alphabetical order.
- Player side # = P1 or P2.

of matches = 00#-00#
- I only use Winners’, Losers’, or Grand Finals in the -special note-
- (Event/tourney/arcade -date-) = Pretty straight forward, jus’ the name of the event, tourney, or arcade. Then the date if applicable, but sometimes, not necessary.
Since it’s been awhile, I might have forgotten or did somethings different before. But that’s the jist of it. If anyone remembers when I used to go on the GFB Hub, all my matches were filenamed this way.
But, like I said, this was before I got lazy. Now I jus’ leave’em all alone.

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to you preppy for hosting these files for me to enjoy. Also thnx to magnetro for uploading the japanese MVC2 videos. I was suprised at Umedaru for his set-ups with sentinel and iron man and here i thought Mitsu was only good with iron man. Just a quick question, what are the songs they used for their custom soundtrack?
(preferably the two songs at 1:50 and 8:20, repectively during vsIida match).

In the long run, it would be amazing to have at least one well played game for each of the 56 characters. You could have a fil just for that.

Hey how about some Kuan stuff from Ecc9? =)
^-- He played like ~3 games at ECC9. He’s better than people have seen (although I have some matches of him just annihilating some Magneto teams), but ECC9… all I’ve got is the match against Magneto-X and his money match with Rick Mears. I don’t even have any matches of him going crazy with MSP. (He’s probably the best MSP in Seattle that I can think of, even though he’s known as a Sentinel player.)
I would DIE for his matches against Julian Robinson. :sad: (For those that don’t know, Julian initially beats Kuan to knock him to loser’s, then Kuan beasts out of loser’s, gets to loser’s finals versus Julian, and at the end of the third game Julian, Kuan has pixels of Cable left against Julian’s half-life Blackheart, and Julian accidentally does Armageddon (perhaps the Break Sticks assist?) – and Kuan has enough meter to scrape out the victory.)
There were tons of good Seattle matches not taped there. The RIGGED Sentinaaaaal vs JMar match (“Nobody can be behind the line or coaching. Except Mixup, who will stand right behind them.” - I will always feel that was lame) featured the most tech hits I’ve ever seen in a match (and by seen, I mean “seen out of the corner of my eye as I shoved my body between cabinets to try and get a vague glimpse of what the hell was going on”), and was also a 2-1 shocker (Sentinaaaal won).
Anyways, the last half of the ECC9 footage should have the match of Kuan losing (I never saw who he lost to, since I was taping), so hopefully that comes out.
At this point, I am not planning on having any Requests footage pop up until February, and I’ll meter/ration out stuff after that just to make sure that my ISP’s load doesn’t go through the roof. Obviously they are being AWESOME about everything, but I don’t want to kill them - or accidentally kill my ability to help y’all. 
10c1 is already up. 10c2, 9c1, 9c2, and 2b are part of the JWong upload that should show up next month. There’s a bunch of Sanford footage now up, but I’ll be putting more of those highlights up later.
