The tape glitch is at the end of the misnamed “eccxi top 32 part 3.wmv” (it’s actually part 2) raw file - you can actually see it just shut down in that file as you get visible blocking in the last image in that vid - it simply ejected itself and I replaced the tape as soon as possible). I only lost the first match of Liston vs Potter - I don’t know of any match that I missed, but you’ve caught me before I’ve had a chance to go through stuff.
Sooooooo… I won’t know definitively until maybe Monday or so. Unless something went wrong, I should have gotten everything other than that Liston/Potter Game 1, but we’ll see.
Minor sad news - my Saturday tape 1 got fried or somebody spilled something on it, and I’m unable to get a clean capture from it - it’s got block streaking on the right-side of the tape video itself (so it’s on the tape, and not just an encoding artifact). So I have the vids from that, but Tape 1 Saturday vids will be ugly. :sad:
Geronimo: It looks like there’s a tape missing - I’ll try to figure out what the hell happened to it. It should be in my pack. I’m checking now.
EDIT: Found it - it was in my “unused” tapes, but thankfully I mark tapes and lock them, so it was damned easy to figure out once you pointed out something was missing, and I noticed there was a huge recording gap in the time stamps between 12:36PM PST (last match on Sun tape “1”) and 2:12PM PST (first match on Sun tape “2”). So yeah, I found those “missing” files, and will get those processed. Thanks for the tip. :tup:

I’m actually done encoding tapes 12 and 13 too, but only had a 2GB memory card with me, and that was chock full of everything else. So I should have everything from the Top 32 up by the middle of the week at the latest. :tup:
There may be some weird issues with my camera - I’m having it checked out. I’m not certain if those timing glitches were caused by the camera or the tape, but they’re there in the video source and happen in a couple other places on other tapes too. Time for a new camera… ?
I got a very nice ‘surprise’ package today - I’m now clearing whether or not it’s OK to post it up - this could be a good couple months for videos. :tup:
