Hey preppy it’s me um are you still able to help out in the computer help thread about the WMP plug in problem i was getting? I don’t mean to hound you or ride your ass on it but i just wanted to know if it’s in progress, thank you that will be all.

:confused: Yeah, having worked until 8AM almost every day this week, dealing with data loss, finicky builds, etc, throwing a surprise party for a friend, doing the regular volunteer schtick, having a girlfriend, getting my dad’s 60th birthday in gear…
My advice would be to use IE. Netscape/Firefox is suppressing the normal crash dialogs that would actually be helpful. Since it’ll be about two months before I have time to breathe, it’ll probably be about two months before I have time to try to pretend to be anybody’s personal support. Don’t put me in that position. :smile: If I have something to say, I’ll say it. In your case, Firefox blocking the crash dialog (Office/DocWatson) kinda fucks up the ability to debug things. In theory you just want to figure out what binary that string is coming from. But since you’re the only person I’ve heard of having this crash, something unique may be wrong with your system.
PS: I consider it a little horrible that you’d AIM me and post in another thread as opposed to in the Computer Support thread. Seriously, that gets really annoying - this is my basic response to that which is really watered down and nice. See, debugging when you don’t have the system in front of you is a total bitch. And nobody ever tells you half the fuck of what’s actually going on on their systems, so it’s a total crapshoot ( this is the basic list of relevant info, and that’s even just how you’d establish some kind of starting point - and no, I will not help you on this even if you fill that out. My family, girlfriend, and job come first, and I don’t have enough time for even them right now. :sad:). Netscape/FF has a history of making incremental builds that breaks WMP, but frankly I’ve been so busy I haven’t followed Netscape/FF since like NS4.08. Sorry - other priorities. :smile: You bring your computer by, I’ll take a look at it. Otherwise - it’s a bitch to try to fix stuff via crystal ball.

  • Camelot footage (? - pretty bad encoding quality, though [reminder: don’t use MPEG1…]) from Tickle Me Im Tam

EDIT: Also picked up three more Camelot matches with better quality from TehBoogieMan. :tup:
EDIT2: Gah! Almost forgot about the MWC7 footage from Skimitar… see, I know there was a reason I needed to write all this up. :smile:
