Preppy, I have a question about Windows Media Player… How do I get the playlist to show up next to the screen in the ‘Now Playing’ tab. I accidentally got rid of it and don’t know how to get it back. This has been plaguing me for a couple of months, and I’m sure it’s something ridiculously simple, but I can’t find it. Help!
Click the Now Playing text towards the upper left of the player
A drop down will appear
Click Show List Pane
Voila
Also, if you mouse over those headers, the drop-down chevrons will appear so you can check out those options. 
hey, random question. regarding those 1/23 joo matches, which ones are using low tier characters? the bison and hulk matches sound intriguing. i randomly downloaded 4 vids and saw all top tier matches (plus iron man). i don’t really want to download 53 matches to find out.

Hey guys does anyone know if this is the same beastly sunahebi that uses IM and ruby heart. He had some vids hosted on CV awhile back. I dunno, this sunahebi seems to suck alot more and he doesn’t even use IM.
Derek: No worries, you have nothing on my parents who had me drive 30 min to their house to “fix” their speakers that weren’t plugged into the computer, weren’t plugged into the power outlet, were off, AND were muted.

Hey preppy i watched a couple seconds of a vid on my computer and then x’d it. When i was done i got a random message saying “cancelling download of subscription rights” or soemthing like taht and there was a progress bar. I searched the net and no one seems to know what this means. Any ideas?

Your WMP probably doesn’t have the correct codecs necessary to play the vids cause some ov them are in different formats than the rest…it’s happened to me as well and that’s the best I can tell ya…
…and this is why I use DivX Player to play my vids now…
That should have had nothing to do with the video and should have had to do with licensed content, probably a license refresh. Do you use some licensed content service?
No, absolutely not.
A codec is the key to playback, like the key to a house. If the codec isn’t present, then either the audio or video won’t work AT ALL for associated clips. If you want to resolve a mising codec issue, that’s easy.
As the above link points out, it’s pretty easy to resolve this stuff. The fact that YOU have to think about is because content providers have gotten pretty incompetent. This is without regards to player - I can fuck up your DivXPlayer real good real easy too. Shifting players for a temporary codec issue is a bad plan because you have learned nothing about understanding this issue. Shifting players because you like the other player better is awesome.
This is why I generally hate AVI. It’s a great workmanlike format that third party idiots did an outstanding job of fucking up.

OK, verified via a code check (just to be extra certain) that “Cancelling download of subscription rights” comes when the background license refresh manager is asked to shut down mid-refresh. You probably have some content with stale licenses, but it’s got nothing to do with these files. If you want to follow up further, use the Computer Help & Support Thread in Tech Talk and I’ll follow up further. :tup:
As far as upcoming stuff, Blue_J has 8 more hours of stuff, I’ve got those two hours of Marvel to put up once I capture it, and I just got permission to host another ton of footage. :tup:
