Yun Q&A: Ask simple questions here!

nope your right man one of the coolest styles of kung fu

btw does anyone know how much life yun and yang have is kinda like adons or more like vipers? im just curious cuz from what i see he takes a lot of damage

i think yun is pretty much the weakest in the game apart from akuma and seth.

so then around 900 maybe 850?

After Yuns U1. Would it be possible to go into Genei Jin and go into a combo from it? Like if spaced correctly or something?

hey just a couple of quick questions:

  1. does using a different punch button for super result in different properties for genei jin? and if not, which punch button do yaā€™ll normally use to activate?

  2. once genei jinā€™s activated, whatā€™s the optimal set up/move for a combo/juggle? cl.hk?

thanks!

From what I read you have to be in Genei Jin Before you do U1 to combo off of it for Genei Jin juggle.

Okay cool thanks.

wat r all of yuns colors

Is the Keeper Jin still possible?

People playing Yun REALLY need to remember that st.mp xx LP shoulder (on block) is NOT a true block string).
In between st.mp and LP shoulder, you can get focused, or you can get DPā€™d.

People found this out on Day1 guys, just stop spamming itā€¦

Here is the thing about meaty Palms on wakeup.

If you want to catch backdash, you need to be point blank, but being point blank, meaty palms will lose to all dragons.
If you want to beat dragons, you need to be at max distance, but this distance will not catch backdashes.
Standing in the middle of these 2 distances is the worstā€¦ u will lose/trade with dragons, and wont catch back dash.

If you want to fake palm (and actually have it be at an effective range for say, command throw etc), you also need to be very close.

I personally dont find this a 50/50 at all, because the palm/fake palm is quite a slow animation.
Anyone with good defence can see the fake palm, and react accordingly. This is because if it is a meaty, the opponent will expect it coming, hence will be prepared to react to it.

What are good option selects for backdash (from a jump or from ground on knocked down opponent) as well as frametraps to catch OS crouch tech. And how do you effectively pressure with divekicks on wakeup, I find my opponent blocking my divekick then we are both even on block and I get grabbed a lot, how do you divekick so you are at advantage?

^im guessing os lungepunch will be a good os for backdashers?

my question to those who have got their hands on yun is what are the good blockstrings you guys have been using so far?

So far I have been seeing c.mp x c.mp x s.mp xx lp shoulder. However Yun is still vulnerable between the s.mp and lp shoulder.

are there any GJ enders?

Do you have any footage of that red-shirt-red-pants color? I want to see it in action.
