Better idea: put that $100 towards buying some Raffle tickets.
(or use it as a down payment towards a used car…heh heh)

HYUK HYUK HYUK… someone just got :l::l::f::h:
Will be there, hopefully with at least a carload of St. Catharines players to support.
I’ll try to make it.
Need to find a way to make my PS3 controller work on a 360 first, though.
El. Oh. El.
Make movie sized poster prints of the cool relief ad, sell them for $20, profit to charity!
As I mentioned earlier, I need something cool over my TV in between the detolfs of collectibles!
thanks for the support!
There should be someone in attendance with an adapter.
So you’re saying I could just borrow it off someone there?
In that case, I’ll be there for sure.
Yeah, there’s one regular player at HW who uses the adapter. I’m sure he’s cool to let you borrow it.
Does my pad need to be wired or does it work as long as I have my USB cord?
i think it only works with ps2 pads. i could be wrong.
I have a PS2 to 360 converter, it should be available for use but problem is I didn’t get the joytron one so it’s a little buggy. It’s known to either random pause, home menu pops up or even random normals.
Joytron is back in stock at etokki, my buddy will probably get one by the 16th.
we will have ps3s hooked up as well…and depending on turn out it’s possible that we may have to divide the tourney into xbox or ps3 sections to save on confusion and pairing times. Previously we haven’t had too many issues with ps3 pad only users as most players are willing to play on ps3 as long as there’s a stick available
I dont know why tourny is run on x360. I understand that majority of toronto tournys are run on x360.
Evo runs on ps3
a few of the other majors also run ps3 simply because they also run tekken 6 on ps3
most players at HW play on ps3
so i’d prefer it if tourny was run on both consoles.
Just so you guys know. Sony does not license PS3’s outside of EVO and licensed events for this kind of particular use. People get away with using PS3’s because most SF events fly under the radar, and will continue to. That said, long run speaking, staying with XBOX360 makes sense, sure we can fly under the radar and play PS3 but if we ever want to look toward the future and go bigger, XBOX360 is the only option right now unless you’re big enough to attract Sony’s non-legal eyes.
I hope that might clarify part of the reasoning on why XBOX360 is used. Also just from the streaming end of things. PS3 sucks for streaming, gotta use component or strip out that HDCP encryption on the HDMI so you can record it
Moved our local event back to the 30th, A small handful from Barrie will now be attending this event
