Your recipe for a rage quit

I love it when you are playing some random guys and they find they can’t beat you with their main, so they take to going round the roster trying to find someone who has annoying moves or who should win (E Honda/Blanka).

It’s like Zangief says, “Sooner or later, I piledrive everyone!”

-wall dive BS with vega
-time out victories with vega
-repeated tick throws with t hawk

It’s soooo true! I’ve gotten people to drop out of my friends list I wrecked them so bad

Last night I got at least 7 quits. It seems to be getting worse

75% of the time it’s just by rushing that shot down the first two rounds. With my Vega it usually ends up in near perfects against scrubs. I hate it when they’re still moving around but out of nowhere disconnect! I always leave a message and submit negative reviews for early quits. Even when I avoid some players though, I’ll wind up playing them again someone randomly :frowning:

Tick throws and 50/50 guessing games ie; Ken’s knee bash > safe jump jab > either another knee bash or jab shoto.

Sim’s Tick throws ie: Noogie > slide > noggie

Ryu’s fire ball trap with fakes.

akuma or honda turtles

I just don’t have the patience to spend 20 minutes fighting a honda that won’t move forward, would rather just ‘rage’ quit

oh and I ragequit on goukiccm every time not because he turtles, but because he plays honda all the way from mexico. yeah I want to battle buttstomps all day where the first visible frame is him at the apex of his flight.

Yeah, that guy is extremly laggy.

I have fought you (I almost always win) and you ARE a really boring player. HUGE turtle.

I’ve never rage quit, but if I ever did, it would be after challenging a player like you, whether I lost or not. Sooooo boring. (Do you even try to play anyone except Guile? Ryu and Sagat can lay down some really good walls of defense, too, I bet you’d like them.)

I’m just saying, There’s some merit to some of those messages that you receive.

Again, having fought you numerous times (and won 90%+ of them), my guess would be that those aren’t rage quits. The player is simply bored out of his skull, and would rather enjoy himself than sit through another three to five rounds of you holding defensive crouch.

Seriously. People aren’t always mad when they bail.

Oops, for a second there I thought this game was called Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

Guess it’s real name is Super Amuse MiloDC Fighter II Turbo.

My bad.

That would be one thing to say to any random scrub, but MiloDC is no joke. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow! Thats quite a rant for somebody who [bold]claims[/bold] to have beaten me 90% of the time. Fact is I dont recognise your gamer tag dude and it dosnt appear on my met players list. Another thing your post says ur from sandiego and I almost never play high ping matches and I’m from the UK so its unlikely we have played frequently or even recently.

One thing I do know is that people who bitch about turtle guiles are people who dont know how to beat turtle guiles, so your 90% claim is bullshit and logic would suggest that if you did beat me 90% of the time then you would not be bitching. There are players who can beat me 90% of the time and they dont utter a single word complaining about my playing style and I remember their gamer tags and FR them.

Anybody can come on here and say that they’ve beaten anybody 90% of the time

So dude, nice try but your not clever enough to fool me or anybody else.

I’ve got nothing against you IrrepressibleGuile, otherwise you wouldn’t be on my friendslist but I do find (especially as Zangief) that certain methods dull to play against. Akuma’s just jumping up spamming airfireballs, Honda’s just spamming headbutt etc. It’s up to them to what they decide to do but since I only play player matches, it’s up to me to ‘ragequit’ when I’m bored, lagging or simply got to go. Most people I play once or twice before leaving out of courtesy but when it’s my 10th match against an Akuma who repeats the same crap whether it works or not, it gets boring.

Saying all this, people probably get bored of me tick throwing with various characters but it doesn’t stop me. At least I rotate between 4 characters or so.

EDIT
To stay on topic, I find that I get more ‘ragequits’ as Blanka than Zangief. J.lk --> bite or other ways into bite usually do the trick. With Zangief, perfect rounds finishing with FAB doesn’t even do the trick.

there way I see it is that in a ranked match…you do what it takes to win. A player match is much more liberal but you still want to win, after all thats the aim of the game. But against certain characters another character has to play a certain way in order to have a good chance of winning.

Guile V Zangief for example, if guile overtly attacks then he’ll probably lose, if guile turtles too much then a good zangief will eventually break down his defense and win, so the strategy that works for me is try and trap gief in a corner and hold him there without attacking too much, just enough to keep him in check with a few booms and cr.mk’s, and only jumping in when following up a boom. But things dont always go as you want so sometimes you have to turtle to get the victory.

my point is, whats boring for one guy, could be highly entertaining for another. I too hate akuma players who spam air fireball and then do only standing firece kick when you jump at them, but its down to the provocative of the player to decide how he wants to play…and perhaps he enjoys playing like that. And we all play the game to entertain ourselves, not the guy we are playing against.

Sometimes I wonder what do people expect of guile, he’s a charge character with weak ass normals and as soons he moves he loses his charge and is therefore at a tactical disadvantage, but yet ppl get angry at guile players who play in a way so that they constantly maintain a charge…thats what a guile player is supposed to do!!

There are at least a few matchups where Guile has a better chance at winning if he goes aggro.

shrug Your believing me isn’t a concern of mine. I recognize your nick and I distinctly recall having fought you several times. I even got a nice audio rage response from you after I called you a turtle. (You uttered something about hyperturtling being the only way to play Guile. I think you’ve got an accent; British, is it?)

Sorry if I’ve been caustic, here. I just found it amusing that you would scoff at people who call you boring, when you are, in fact, one of the most coma-inducing players I have ever had the displeasure of fighting in all of my fifteen years of playing this game.

But it’s probably just me. After all, I really, really, really despise cowardly players, people to whom winning is so absolutely everything that they are afraid to take active participation in the game. (JigglyNorris’ turtle T.Hawk is a real pisser, as well, though certainly not as bad as your Guile, since he doesn’t have the luxury of being able to throw stuff.)

So, again, sorry if I’ve made you mad.

That’s his fundamental style, yes. You can build on it, though. It isn’t necessary to turtle even half as much as you do, providing you actually try attacking enough to familiarize yourself with something besides the sonic boom and the flash kick.

Guile’s normals aren’t “weak ass,” and your describing them as such betrays that (1) you don’t know how to use them, and (2) you couldn’t possibly have enough confidence in them to do much of anything beyond sitting on your haunches.

His normals are by no means the strongest in the game, sure, but given the proper situations (of which there are many), they can be very effective.

Then again, turtling like you do tends to work rather well much of the time. Limiting the opponent’s options is a key element of Street Fighter, and Guile excels at that with just a few simple moves. I never meant to impugn the legitimacy of your style of “fighting,” I just don’t think you have any business chuckling at people who call it dull, because it is, in fact, very dull.

Thanks very much dude, Now I know for sure that you are either a liar or delusional because I have never sent anybody an audio message over street fighter. Of course you can prove me wrong by posting the audio.

Seems to me with all your bitching that your somebody who is simply frustrated, after all you remember me but I dont remember you so you cant have done anything memorable. Oh and thanks for the apology, but no apology is needed cos it takes more than words on a screen from somebody I dont know to get me angry. As to why you would think that would make me angry is a question you need to ask yourself.

Again, you are assuming that I care if somebody thinks my playing style dull. I dont play the game to entertain the people I’m playing, I play it to entertain myself. Ask anybody who has played me frequently and they will tell you that I know guile. Even marsgatti2009 (one of the best guiles) has complemented my guile.

Guile is primarily a defensive character, guile dosnt need to go on the attack if his opponant is on the offensive, why should I trade a tactical advangae by going on the offensive when most opponants will go on that attack…it dosnt make tactical sense. If need be, I can be offensive with guile, but most of the time playing defensive while still applying pressure is a sound tactic. Another thing that proves to me that you havnt played me is that I’m not a turtle as you are making out, im only defensive when played certain players who are skilled with a certain character, most of the time Im following up booms with high/low mix up.

I seriously think you are delusional or you are mistaking me for somebody else, or you are trying to start some kind of flame war.

You’ve made 2 totally baseless accusations and you expect me to simpy believe you!!! c’mon man…you can do better than that.

I think whats more likely is that me and jigglynorris have given you a beatdown that you cant get out of your mind, so your trying to get even by posting lies, cos you know you dont stand a chance at HDR

I haven’t got it any longer. The only rage audios I save are the ones that I get from ooxXxRamboxXxoo.

Do you or do you not have a non-American accent of some kind? Like I said, I think it was British, not sure. (Australian? Irish? Audio quality wasn’t the greatest but I do remember you not sounding American.) Where are you from?
