Well these aren’t from fighting games but they’re inspired by fighting games. These songs sample in game character quotes and sounds for the beats/lyrics. Pretty slick. Pyscho ball is my fav.
The arrange is better than the original.

Yay Music! Music is so important to video games to me. Since I made this thread Ive gotten into the 2nd Impact arranged soundtrack and Alpha 2 some a bad side of town atmosphere to it.
The music adds more flavor to games. Plus game OST’s keep my mind on gaming (ipod) whilst I’m doing something else like work.

What makes me really sad is the lack of fusion music in fgs those days. Growed up listening to fusion in videogames, but sometime around late 90’ the focus changed for rock and techno. By 3s/alpha3 time, fusion was almost gone. Today it’s more of a “legacy” thing, reserved to remixes of old themes that already were fusion tracks…zangief and guy in sf4, iori and woman’s team in kof, akira in vf, etc.
Thinking better, the majority of the recent one’s i listened to were from doujins and small groups. Streets Of New Meridian from Skullgirls, “No forgiviness” from chaos code, “godlike person” and “wicked eyes” from akatsuki blitzkampf, Senna’s theme from Big bang beat, “Toles and Pebbles” Vanguard Princess…
