Dash back Impact Palm is SO good for spacing correction when you feel you’re going to drop your FoF loops. Good fix for those awkward setups that put Strange a little too close to the opponent. Get into the habit of using this a lot, guys-- no reason you should be dropping your FoF loops due to spacing with this in mind. This makes the basic 6H, S, SJ, 6H xx 214H, 6H variation of the FoF loop viable. In neutral, it also option selects into throw, so that’s also good to know.

Triple post. ~_~ But whatever. Nobody really minds… right?
My team’s version of the Dante Acid Rain setup.

Corner BnB with Burn Kick and Jam Session extenders = Title says it all.

wow Mazio, its not Christmas yet but thanyou
Dude. Dafuq? 4 bars? Fuck an infinite.
Did you manage to get it any more reliable (aka easier :P)
Cool Combo Videos
Building 4 bars in a combo is nice. Phoenix would love Dr Strange
Sadly, no. I’m still stumped as to what post-Acid Rain instances will allow Strange to convert. :\ Acid Rain is so random, ugh.
Are there any videos of dr strange comboing of a raw tag?
No crumple stuff like nova spencer, shehulk spencer or viper but situations where the raw tag actually hits and you need a normal with fast startup to combo.
I’m trying to combo into strange raw tag using skrulls stone smite but it’s not working for me.
Eventhough bolts is great for skrull I’m still trying to find a way to combo into strange fof loops and i think this might be the only option since none of his supers can dhc into 7 rings.
From my experience (like I tested with Strider’s Gram setup), the raw tag stuff usually works if you do standing magic series after the raw tag hits the opponent’s feet, to pop them vertically upwards. It’s pretty precise, but should be doable. Works best if the opponent wallbounces far, like with Strider’s Gram H.
Mo’ combos for ya. Here’s the Round Harvest/Stalking Flare setup I promised.

GDLK stuff mazio. Yay for Storm at the end. I was wondering about using Strange/Dorm/Doom, this ToD combo made me want to try.
Man, I missed the Strange boards. Hey guys.
Time to find out what I missed. By the way, congratulations on getting onto the front page Mazio.
Jill BnB into 7 Rings DHC, then FoF loop with Arrow Kick + Jam Session = 1.25m, 0.8 meter positive. Jill don’t need resets no more!
which one should I start off with? the alzarath?
I played Tron all through vanilla, then gave up ultimate when I tried playing ultimates version of nerf Tron and started playing Street Fighter instead. Wuddup other Ibuki players! When I hit my Ibuki plateau, b-linking one frame jabs is a cruel requirement for her strongest combo, I figured I’d try some ultimate again for a bit.
While going through several characters trying to set up a practical way to start the FoF loop I realized Trons hypers could work out well for the 7 rings DHC. So I decided to give Tron a go again and it turns out if DHC’d early enough you have what seems like an eternity in marvel time to get Strange in the right spot to start the loop.
After a basisc Tron bnb it seems like King Kobun is the most practical one to start the loop but I’ve only been able to get like two reps of the loop but I think its due to execution not hitstun. After a Tron bnb and the King Kobun hyper the hit count is around 40ish. the lunch rush hyper seems like it gives Strange more time but after a simple combo ending in lunch rush you’re looking at 70+ hits and I can’t get them to not flip out after the first rep so it seems like hitstun is too much. since theres so much time though for Strange to do whatever while the hyper is still doing its thing there could be enough time to maybe put down a couple glyphs in the corner for whatevs or maybe even an EoA in front of them to keep them from teching forward and going for a reset/mixup. I haven’t actually tried out any of these possible mixup/resets from the lunchrush DHC, its just speculation at this point.
A few pages back Mazio said he was working on a comp of all the characters that allow the the 7 rings DHC to continue comboing. Thought I’d throw in my 2 cents. What do you all think?
Also theres been some talk about positioning Strange for the saltine loop (what I like to refer to it as). If its been mentioned before I didnt see it anywhere so surely someone else missed it too, so forgive me, but… For a good referance point to start the loop in the corner I try to get Strange inbetween the hyper bars at the bottom of the screen maybe a hair closer to the player 2 bar if its the right hand corner. Thats been pretty successful for me. Anyone else do this?
didn’t see it in the first few posts - what’s the optimal combo starting from st. M, mystic L ?
Anyone got ideas for a Tron/Strange DHC? Going from Lunchtime to Seven Rings. There’s enough time to set up 2 graces and throw an eye to connect, need to figure out what to do after that.
I don’t know if it’s the most damaging follow up, but I go for a dash - impact palm - S - H teleport - j.H -j impact palm - j.M - j.H - j. impact palm - midscreen faltine loop
why do yipes and some other strange players not do the 3x3 faltine corner loop? They go like 1-2 flames for first 2 loops and 3rd loop they do 3 flames… is it because its harder to land the 3rd loop if you did 2x3 for the first 2 loops? Or is the timing all the same? because i find the 3rd loop to be the hardest one to hit the j.impact palm on (on smaller chars more). Also, off of a bionic arm or maneuvers, is it possible to land counter super into FoF loop in corner?
edit: btw im talking about the loop on the OP (Corner version). and any tips on landing that IP off the 3rd launch on small chars?
