this happened to me as well, and i ended up with ehonda and they then chose ryu, ii got my ass kicked as i NEVER use honda at all, and then the guy quit after one match. yea way to figure ur better than me…
On Thursday, I went to my local arcade during half-time (4-6PM) to hopefully find some competition. I see this guy playing Ryu decently well and decide to take him on. Before I can get to the machine, though, this other guy swipes his card and takes a seat. To my surprise, he picks Guile. He didn’t do too bad; he can mix-up and keeps his charges very well, but he doesn’t know any combos and relies on the sweep too much. He loses and I’m up. I win, 3:0.
Just stick with me. Keep reading.
He re-ups and I win again, another 3:0. He shakes my hand and gets up, giving a new guy his seat. After several set of matches, I’m at 5 wins and everyone’s just standing back, watching to see who’ll challenge me. One guy, wearing chains, baggy pants, and a tilted hat, sits down and swipes his card. He spins the stick around at the character selection screen and goes all over the place. After some time of senseless idling, he picks Akuma and the game starts.
I dizzy him in every match and brutally win. He stands up and mumbles to himself, quite loudly, “Aw, fuck. Get my ass to me. God damn it.” and slouches back over to Tekken 6: BR. I got three Perfects.

That was golden Ironfist haha. The announcers are kinda shit talking you despite you taking out two players of their team with nothing but uppercut spam and an ultra haha.
I think Rufus is one of the people where you’re most likely to wind up in that situation. A lot of my wins are from when I can rush people down to the point where they can’t get into attack mode, but keep having to defend and dodge. The next round they start a similar offense, and do a good enough job at it that they shut me down completely. Which always makes for an interesting third round, as we both know some of each others’ tricks
this just happen to me last night. i was about to go from g2-a to g1-e, so all i needed to do was win one more championship. however, i fought 5 freaking sagats in a row, i did win, but my heart almost blew up.
This is awesome.
favorite button
beating top players in casuals, and a few in tournaments. Then losing to a scrub that I could not read properly hehe. I have a lot to learn.
Being able to get 6 Fuerte reps followed by a Tortilla.
Worst - Screwing up those reps and losing to a flowchart
getting 12th at Northwest majors when i have barely been in the scene at all.
using chun at the arcade i go to…ultra’d sagat in the corner…back’d off and kept focusing tiger shots until i got my ultra again and dash ultra’d ftw =)
best moment is when I turn it off after waisting my time on it…FHOUL GOSTH!!!
Went to the Gamework’s in AZ for a couple days during April, and beat just about every one there
I got some mixups I’d only been labbing the night before to steal a round from the eventual tourniment runner-up at a local event.
Honorable mention: Reversing an Ultra with an Ultra in my 3rd match ever on an arcade stick.
making slick rick srk Cry over a loss on xbl
That was pretty cool when it happened
Warning: IT IS LOUD LOWER YOUR VOLUME! AND I SOUND LIKE A NERD!
Best moment…Akuma trying to land a raging demon on Gief, me taunting and canceling into my ultra…TOO LATE!
