first time playing in an arcade (arcade infinity) ever, as a longtime ps3 pad user. this ken was tearing everybody up. had a 10+ win streak going. using rog, i went up and lost the 1st round… won the next 2 rounds and eventually the game. won 3 matches before i lost. i’ll never go back to pad again
Best Moment: Back dashing away from a Yoga Catastrophy only to mash out Raging Demon as he was jumping in on me and having one of the jabs knock him backwards and sending me right into the yoga catastrophy.
Luckiest moment: Playing an Akuma mirror and I go a anti-air raging demon and hit him with one of the jabs (notice a pattern) and he flips backwards and for some reason even though he was holding up I still got the demon.
Worst Moment: getting Ultra’d by Akuma while doing a sweep.
Best Moment: Deciding to stop playing Street Fighter 4 online. (I have lower blood pressure now; no kidding.)
Worst Moment: Every time I played Street Fighter 4 online. With each subsequent match it got worse.
ehh mine would probably be the first time i got a 5 win streak at ai.
^^He might’ve fucked up a mashed reversal Shoryuken/Ultra, when you mash it out, soetimes it just doesnt reverse.^^
Worst -> Not the worst but one of the worst, playing badly all game against a poor Ken player, then at the final moment blocken his Shoryuken, going for a throw but pressed the WRONG buttons (/\ & O) & Eating a mashed ultra. Reason i mention this in particular is because,[media=youtube]5Hr0bVbxktc"[/media] Thankfully i play a bit better than that these days.
Others are any time i win a round/game through a Pressured Ultra that i’m just doing because i can’t break someones defenses. I know it’s a legitimate victory, but that doesn’t change the fact it was a hit & hope move & not skill. I do this less & less these days mind.
**Best -> ** Getting pretty battered one round against a continuously Taunting Sagat i was trying to rush down with Akuma & losing near perfectly. following rounds i pulled back & poked with HK & Counter Demon Flips. Won one round with a perfect. & the final round i won with HK -> Crouch MK -> Hadou -> FADC -> HK -> Crouch LP -> Tatsu -> Shoryuken. Then a cross up Tatsu in the corner (Which, if it didn’t kill him id’ve tagged a shoryu on the end) that was a pretty good moment for me.
Any time i have low low health & bring it back without a RD in there i guess is a good moment.
Best Moment: My first time winning a G2 championship. I had just switched mains from Ryu from Akuma. I was a measely 2200ish gp and my cp was over 100000 when I won. If I remember right the first three were 2 Sagats and one I can’t recall, followed by a tense Gief match in the semi’s and a match against a decent Sakura that went down to the last bit of life in the last round.
Luckiest Moment(s): Playing my friend, I was screwing around trying Gief and he was working on his Abel. He takes the first round as i routinely jump attempting 360s for 99 straight seconds. Second round, I had literally no visible amount of life left, I jump in and buffer super in the air (was trying for Ultra but hit the wrong button :rolleyes: ) He tries to catch me falling into a sweep. I land, flash, FINAL ATOMIC BUSTAAA!!! for the round. Last round, We’re both at 1/4 health. I block an Ultra but fail to capitalize. I try in desperation to finish him. I jump and buffer Ultra. He falling skys. I land just short of his grab and hit the CORRECT button this time. I reach out and touch him with an ULTIMATE ATOMIC BUSTAAA!!! for the win. He almost throws his controller.
Worst Moment: I jump over a Bison (dictator) Ultra. All I need to do is connect with an easy Ultra punish with my Ryu. I proceed to whif two consecutive hp srks instead of getting the Ultra and end up getting my ass handed to me. Round 2, he whiffs another Ultra. I whiff two more srks. I lose the match. I come as close as I ever have to breaking my stick in rage.
Look, I know online isn’t better or even as good as offline, but this philosophy is beyond retarded. You mean to tell me that you completely abandoned playing a very accessible method of diversifying your playing field simply because of execution mistakes due to input lag?
Its as if you have zero ability to adapt.

The limitations of playing online are obvious and to expect anything more is ludicrous; with that said, I feel people “abandon” sf4-online, because of unreal expectations and some outer locus of control mentality~~let the internet inconsistency be responsible for your mistakes, poor playing, or inability to adapt.

Best Moment: El Fuerte(Me) vs a Bison Dictator. Final Round, i was close to being perfected. NOTHING visible in my health gauge, did a wake up GUAC, cought him, so i started to cook:smile:. The LONGEST and most consistent wake up game i’ve ever played EVER, got him down to almost nothing, he escapes by chace with a Scissor Kick went to the corner, I bounced of the wall to get to him quick, he does an Ultra right b4 i land, I input my Ultra right when he went to his animation. and got em clean.
Luckiest Moment: Abel(me) vs Ryu, He does an Ultra close to me on my wake up. Im mashing my Ultra input. Did a FUCKING EX Falling Sky:crybaby:… Fireball went right through me, so i through a kick while he’s recovering and won:cool:
Worst Moment: losing to a Dan back when i did’t know his “Tatsu” kick is safe, kept following up with Shoryukens i kept eating em.
best was FADC to ultra with ryu at gamespot playing against some kid, got mad hype.
Worst playin some scrubby gen who mashed his rapid punch move and i still lost
FUNNIEST Moment: I picked Cammy once awhile back against a Ken on Ranked. He had a mic and I didn’t so the dude started talking mad crap. He had friends with him too and I could hear them laughing, blah… blah… So then he started repeating " I’m gonna beat yoouuuu." while the loading screen was up… Laughing his butt off… Right… As expected… He was just another flowchart scrub… After my first round victory though, HE wasn’t talking so much anymore… I beat him in the second round for the win, and I sent him a message afterward.
ME: Hey man, I thought I heard you say something.
Him: Yeah… GG…
Best Moment: Anytime I’m having a bad day, other guy taunts me and I come back for the win. I hate getting taunted.
Worst Moments: Actually getting hit by any Ken with wake up fierce srk. Pulling an srk when I input a hadoken and getting punished for it… Eh I’m sure I can think of a few more of these but it’s too much to list.
The only reason I took it seriously is because going to tourneys and get togethers, I was truly amazed at the people who swore off online simply because they believed it was responsible for impeding their game–rediculous.
Best moment: Scoring 2 perfects on Zangief player in a player match. He was decent, he wasn’t a total scrub lol. Also Scoring an A A A on a Ryu player in a ranked match, that made my day since I despise Ryu so much.
Worst moment: Was getting PWNED by an E.Honda player that was only using Jab headbutts. He didn’t do any other move just a Jab Headbutt and perfected me the 1st round and nearly perfected me the 2nd lol. after that he sent me a mail saying “MASTER OF NOOBS!!!” Was pretty funny but I felt like shit after that lol.
Funniest moment: ranked match, me vs a Ryu player. He wins first round hard. I got amped and nearly perfected him the 2nd round. Then comes the 3rd round and we are going back and forth. I believe he connected an ultra on me and I missed an ultra on him and was WIDE open for attack… as soon as I recovered from the ultra I immediately did an EX headstomp. I had about 5% health left and so did he. He saw my headstomp coming so he did a reaction LP SRK and it traded with my EX headstomp and we both got KOed in the Final Round lol.
The funniest part about it was I ended up losing BP still even though no one won the match.
Best Moment: Finally winning a championship mode tournament with Fei Long (not a huge accomplishment I know, but it made me feel good).
Worst Moment: Nearly breaking a controller after the first time I was ragequit on. It was a new phenomena for me and I couldn’t understand why someone would want to rob me of the joy of victory. I’ve since learned better.
Funniest moment: Playing a ranked Dan mirror match and having both of us throw out simultaneous super taunts. Nothing like it before or since then.
My best moment so far was when I finally was given the choice to upload a video, 1st time ever. My G2-B Ryu against G2-A Zangeif.
Ok match, nothing too spectacular, a memorable moment was doing fhp - hdp - fadc - hdp which of course whiffed, I did that because I usually play on the left side but for this match I was on the right and I thought I had an Ultra but it was Zangiefs, lol…still won though so it was cool.
