I was messing around with Makoto in training and I found Hayate - FADC -Karakusa -StHp - Hayate does tremendous amounts of stun. Jumpim in with HP or HK then Hayate - FADC -Karakusa -StHp - Hayate FA does around 980
Question, do we have a list of the characters that can get hit by EX Hayate > LP Hayate in the corner? If it works on everyone, then I’m just doing it late on some.

f.lk kara karakusa = downloaded. finally for the timing down for it and it’s consistent.
you can note that FAlvl2 -> dash*2 -> HP fukiage -> (kara) HP fukiage -> EX tsurugi does 522 stun.
Ok, maybe this is just me and maybe it has come up before but is there something I don’t know about c.MP XX mp.Hayate that makes is not combo sometimes. (maybe I’m accidentally charging it). I tried this against a ken online and the mp was hitting but he blocked the hayate every time. So I went to training mode and tried it out. it seemed to combo fine there and I couldn’t figure out what was going on but eventually I noticed that every so often it was getting blocked in the same way. I couldn’t get it to block it consistently and I couldn’t figure out why it was happening. The only time I got it to be blocked repeatably was trying it on a focus crumpling opponent.
Has anyone else come across this at all? For the time being I guess I’ll switch to lp.Hayate but it did seem wierd to me. Any idea what’s going on?

Maybe you late cancelled ? It is one frame tight so you have to buffer mp hayate input entirely during the startup of c.mp.
Ok, I went back and tried it with the negative edge inputs and it’s much more consistant now. It also helped me to get consistant with Karakusa > s.HP xx hp.Hayate.
This should improve my game quite a bit. Thanks for the advice.

you can do 3(s.lp), s.mp.
You can also do 2(cr.lp), s.lp, s.mp.
this is however only against bigger guys i think. or at least hakan for sure.
Apparently, on honda you can do something like…
j.hk, s.mp, s.mp, s.mp, s.mp, s.mp XX mp hayate XX Super, s.mp, s.mp, s.mp xx mp hayate
Not sure what the conditions need to be, other than starting really close. He might also need to be crouching. Just thought it was ridiculous enough to mention.

this can be an option select if you go cr.lp>Cr.lp+cr.hp>s.lp>s.mp
the timing for its a bit iffy and i havent tested it against everyone, i’m not even sure if it’s safe or not
I tried it in trainng mod and it didn’t really seem to work too well. MP (buffer dash) > medium punch is a much better option select imo.
I actually started testing this a couple days ago, haven’t had a chance to finish, but I’m slowly working though it. Currently testing:
-Ex Hayate, Lp Hayate
-Ex Hayate, Lp Fukiage
-Ex Hayate, F+Lk
-FA2, FA1, Dash: -Lp Fukiage
-F+Lk
so i didn’t see this combo listed anywhere, but i found some fun stuff to do with focus crumples:
fa lvl2 > *pause slightly fa lvl1 > dash forward (you will cross under) > lp fukiage (you have dashed under so do the motion accordingly) > ex tsurugi (when near the corner) or any hayate (don’t need ex to juggle) to push them towards a corner.
also you can do this after a double crumple to mess with people. although after a double crumple i don’t think normal hayate will still hit.

Have you tested this on the entire cast? The focus fukiage juggle stuff seems to have a lot of character specificity to it.

(Corner) Ex Hayate Testing
Okay, finished up some testing today… Here’s what I’ve got: Hayate Column refers to (Corner) Ex Hayate>Lp Hayate, Fukiage Column refers to (Corner) Ex Hayate>Lp Fukiage, Corner Reset Column refers to (Corner) Ex Hayate>F+Lk, Mid-screen Reset Column refers to FA2>FA1>Dash>F+Lk and Ex Hayate>FADC>F+Lk. Out to side are assorted notes.

F+Lk Reset probably works on Blanka too, but I got in a hurry towards the end and couldn’t get it the first few times where-as I got the rest fairly consistently. If someone can confirm either way I’ll edit the file.
Its actually pretty reliable. Its something else I’ve been playing around with for a while, the only character I can’t get it to connect on is Guy. Normal Hayate won’t juggle after it however, it does require Ex.
Some characters you can actually do Mp and it will make her scoot back under them before the hit and keep them on the same side where-as Lp will leave them on the side that you originally were on.
