Yeah you are thinking of Joe’s slow super. Gold Armor assists might be amazing but it will be another use for snapback I guess.

Arthur has good keep away but I think that’s all he has. He doesn’t have any comeback potential since it seems he has no mixups.

Well I don’t know about him having no mixups. He is able to combo off his aerial lance dive, for instance. That’s undoubtedly going to be an overhead.

Seth said what does and does not break his armor is very much up in the air(at the time of the Arthur announcement) so don’t count on it. We haven’t heard mcuh at all about Arthur since then so it could be drastically different.

He did say in the builds they showed us a blocked lance charge breaks it at least.

Imo, Don’t count on him being weak at close range; feels to me Cappy has their ways of finding a balance.

from what we’ve seen he has B&B’s just like everyone else.

Obviously everyone has B&B’s. So does MODOK with his wall bounce, and Seth tells us he’s been specifically designed to be weak at close range. It doesn’t make sense for a character specializing in keepaway to be effective brawlers.

I’m certain he’ll be comparatively weaker than the rest of the cast in the close range department.

He doesn’t need to be. He already has a little below average health from what I can tell, he’d be pretty good. DP is great in both areas. :smiley: Just not as strong in keepaway maybe.

well from what I can tell, most of his normals look really awkward/unsafe unless they’re comboing. When he swings his sword about he seems to get substantial lag on what look to be medium and hard attacks.

Everyone has a lot of lag on those though, you just never see anyone NOT cancel them (at least the ones that look extremely punishable). Just look at Skrull’s c.B. xD

You mean recovery. Or active frames if its a slow attack. As long as the move can be cancelled, or has enough hit stun/block stun to make up for it then its good. Just don’t whiff slow attacks like that out of range. You’ll probably be using more of his specials than his normals. He probably has a few good normals though.

I’m still kinda confused about his torch projectile… what are it’s properties? It passed through MODOK’s Aegis Reflector like it has back stage access, but his other projectiles, even when powered up by his Ultimate Armor, were still blocked. We know the Reflectors have the power to block out projectiles and normals, they why did the Torch pass right through?

Seems to me that it functions like Sol’s Gunflame, where it’s not a single projectile but a wave of little pillars that are all independent from each other.
