A few Juggernaut comebacks. Probably not so much robbed as it is a bunch of close games, though.

And you thought runaway Akumas were bad…watch the 1st round

This sucks hard…

Wake up demon

“Nice”… You can’t tell that Chun was mentally defeated after he lost that round because he was flat the last round…

choi player had another char left, and you get more life back when you win by ko than by time up. he wanted as much ife as possible for kasumi. also its just casuals

Once you’re < 10 seconds, the life you get back is fairly negligible.
Still doesn’t explain RUNNING after Choi instead of letting him come to you and taking him out with anti-air or a light attack.

“It’s just casuals” can be an excuse for anything.

errrrrr…

first of all, people don’t bother to play totally serious in casuals BECAUSE they’re casual. “It’s just casuals” can be used as an excuse, but it is mostly to say “I am not playing my very best”.

second, not everyone has every single contingency planned. in serious ass tourneys, I’ve always seen people doing some stupid shit. I thought that the stupidest thing to do in 3S was standing up to block Yun while he’s doing the super. many players stand up and eat that one low crouching short kick and the crowd goes “EY! EY! EY! EY EY! EEEEYYY!!”. I’ve also thought the way many Guile players use their normals to be absolutely atrocious. we all play in a way we think is brilliant but then someone else finds something horribly wrong with something in it… that doesn’t mean they’re weak. I’m pretty sure the last thing on that guy’s mind was what would happen if Choi punished his jab. but if he had known it was so hard to hit him with (or, if he knew how to hit him with it for instance), then you wouldn’t even be having these opinions right now and this video wouldn’t be in this thread. for instnace, he could’ve attacked him as soon as he landed. but he didn’t.

third, not everyone already has their shit completely together for casuals. to add to this: there is PLENTY of stuff out there for you to learn, there’s PLENTY of ways to build up your game. there is NEVER just one way to play. runaway is a good idea, but it’s not the ONLY viable idea. can you even confirm what that Joe’s goal was?

You’re putting way too much analysis into a guy literally running into a Choi crossup.

Or maybe he felt the Choi could get lucky, take enough of his life to make round 5 easy for the Kasumi. Getting hit by that is not really something players plan for in that situation.

Personally, I would have thrown a fireball to push him back, then turtled like hell. That said, that’s the predictable thing to do, and he would have likely lost some life doing so, potentially a lot of life if Choi guesses right, and the Choi would be gambling like mad since he has nothing to lose.

Joe should give Kasumi fits as is.

Kasumi is considered S-Tier in KOF 2002 UM now, actually.
I don’t think she has a real problem against anyone but grapplers.

amusing. you call my post words? by that very same logic, I call yours nothing

you can say all day what he should’ve done and what he shouldn’t have all day long, no player will ever catch every single contingency unless they analyze the game the way a chess player analyzes their game in its entirety (even then, you can still be mislead). (side note: if you’ve ever played like that, you’d know it’s extremely tiring to do). the point is the dude has to make his own damn decisions and play by what he sees while he’s playing, not by what you, the inactive person, sees. he was doing fine until he walked forward (clarification: mb on this, I thought he threw a jab) after being crossed up.

The screwed up thing about this is that at 1:45 Bang gets a successful air grab, and he intentionally cancels it instead of killing Hakumen.

He ran the clock for 40 seconds on purpose.

What an asshole.

Here is a good example:

Robbery is not a simple or good comeback, robbery is when:

a) Some wierd shit happens, and happens to screw you over at a crucial time
b) Getting hit by random shit out of nowhere, or something unexpected at a crucial moment (think best HnK round ever)
c) Not getting outplayed, but getting skanked. The KoFXI vids posted here are good examples, one mistake and lol ggpo.
d) "I did BARE hard work, and then deaded!"
e) Potemkin
f) Toki

Edit: Oh shi-, I was looking for this vid:

Now THAT is robbery  He would’ve won the match, and listen to what one of the guys says at the end

That looks more like self-ownage to me.

Wow @ some of these videos smh
