wtf is up with that guile dizzy
Whoops, yeah, meant to post your first link.
His punches are just TOO STRONG!
intersting as fuck. in that first fight, guy basically lost cause he missed a flashkick. and the second one, his other chars just got completely overwhelmed by Kyo.
I think something can be learned from these comeback vids if you’re willing to look deeply enough…
Fuck Chin. Seriously, what an asshole.
Here’s a good comeback:

Start watching at 5:50 until the match is over.
you guys noticing that these huge comebacks are a result of making one tiny mistake? guy in the vid above my post… the only thing he did was block incorrectly and that cost him the game

its mahvel baby!!! you better fucking block that if don’t want to do the salty shuffle.
Some of these games remind me of a sword fight. Its all about position and clean safe pokes until one guy gets the advantage and with a swift cut, the opponent is down.
Poor vid quality, but it’s supposed to be an Anakaris/Sonson comeback vs. a top tier character team:

This is what I don’t understand–how otherwise good players can be dumb and impatient enough to not turtle even when victory is guaranteed.
All the Joe had to do was turtle for 10 seconds, or even just block one attack and then CD counter. He even CHASED him down. Even dumber, he was chasing CHOI.
Anybody that stupid deserves to lose.

Closest thing I can think of off the top of my head. It’s a blazblue combo video montage. Skip to 3:23ish for Carl’s section. Kaqn took Dio to almost no health, Dio bursts, combos it into the infinite, and takes Kaqn from 100 to 0. So pro :lovin:
hahaha this is the best video thread on SRK
good players aren’t perfect. not saying this as a defense for them, it’s actually more of an insult. at least in America I dunno about anywhere else, but I don’t believe gaming has reached a point in which you need to be perfect in order to compete at the highest levels. think perfect as in Olympics. many of them make the most basic mistakes sometimes and it’s really disheartening…
Your example someone getting robbed as opposed to outplayed is that video? I don’t think anyone who’s name wasn’t KO, Kokujin, Daigo or Nuki could have taken out Kuroda that day. Kuroda just plays like an asshole real talk
He shouldn’t have chased Choi anyway. It’s KOF. People will GLADY run the clock with a couple seconds left.
he still could’ve gotten his win stolen if the opponent just takes advantage of what he’s doing. of the few seconds I saw, it seemed like the Joe was just trying to lay some offensive pressure, ex. disallow a comeback by hitting him so many times he doesn’t even get a frame to attack. if that’s so, then I believe the only time he fucked up is when he tried to jab Choi in the air. otherwise, offensive pressuring seems viable
Maybe, except for ignoring the fact that Choi had THREE (almost four) bars of meter and thus offensive pressuring isn’t a good idea seeing as he could have counter-rolled and punished a string, or even CD countered and set up a crossup hyper hop.
That’s still not as dumb as RUNNING after Choi when you have the lead with 10 seconds left and he has 4 bars of meter.
Anybody who plays KOF knows that 80% of Choi’s offense comes from crossup Jumping C and the Joe should been looking for that, as landing it was pretty much Choi’s only possible practical way to win in that situation.
that’s another thing, it’s easier to see clearly when you’re not actually playing. I’ve recorded myself playing before and I thought “aw man, what the fuck was I thinking??” when I did or didn’t do certain shit
