Well I haven’t raged quit at all. Matter of fact I’ve been getting my arse handed to me a lot. No quitting. Hate it but it’s a game afterall. But one match at the end did not record anything at all. The player won but he didn’t get the win and it didn’t record a loss on my end weird.
I can’t believe people are RQ on the first day. Lol.
I hadn’t thought about that. This does bring a new dynamic to the whole thing.
We will need a fix for this.
Give the quitter a mandatory and embarrassing title that stays for x number of days, and fight money penalty.
Adding to the suggestion of having a DC%, an additional matchmaking filter should be added to filter out players with high DC.

I kinda like that, force them to have a RageQuitter Title for a while, and the more they RageQuit - the longer they’re forced to have the Title each time.
The one good thing about no penalty is it allows you to just leave when some toolbag starts teleporting all over the place in round 2. I’m like fuck you, I’m out.

Why not, when they were doing it in the betas even. The 1 thing they said about it so far was allowing you to block players that have quit on you. That’s nice 'n all, but that isn’t gonna help when there’s still gonna be people forever on PC/PS4 doing it left and right. Plus they can just make a new PSN account on their PS4 and create a new CFN and keep it up. You’re just gonna end up with a ridiculous block list, and still getting ragequit on without getting points. Hopefully that was just what they were saying as a first response in that interview, cuz if that is really their only answer, it’s bull.
More than 2 a day should result in a block on earning fight money for 24 hours. Plus, those who disconnect should eat a loss with a win going the other way to help stop with the tampering of leader boards.
I won’t say the launch has been great. But, believe it or not, now that we know that Capcom WILL address this at some point, it’s actually better this way.
If they’d penalized connection loss on this first week, the entire playerbase would’ve been stuck losing points way too often.
What do you think would’ve caused a bigger outrage? People bullshitting the system to get a measly point lead in the first week or two, or people actively getting penalized for no fault of their own because the servers couldn’t handle things?
It won’t matter once the servers have stabilized enough that Capcom CAN start punishing disconnects. If the matchup system works as it should, the people boosting their points by disconnecting will face better players until they’ve been lowered to where they should actually be.

Why is no one talking about lag switchers? Is lagswitching not 10x worse in this game than any other? I never felt the need to D/C on a lagswitcher on SFIV, it rarely got to that point that I nearly wanted to D/C, cuz I could usually beat them through the lag. On this game, they can rollback nonstop and keep winning each encounter. I actually D/C’d at the start of rnd 2 twice yesterday, against a Chun Li with “Warp” in their name, who was literally warping around and rolling back to win anti-airs and a Ken that was just doing uppercuts and winning through rollback. I never D/C in games, but had to do it there because I wasn’t about to get rollback’d all match 'n lose my 17 winstreak.
This issue is just as bad as ragequitting if not worse in many ways. They need to optimize their code better or have something that notices the change in quality and which player’s connection is causing it and penalize them somehow. It’s complete BS currently, I noticed this since the beta, lagswitching is a huge issue in this game, and you can’t attempt to really play through it like in SFIV, they have too much control over the rollback, and when it gets skippy, it’s just f*ckin’ ridiculous.
Thats ok, you don’t get points from winning even if the other guy doesn’t quit half the time. This fucking game…

On a side note : there should be a way to quit a match early - like, within 15 seconds of the first round. There’s nothing worse than getting stuck with a bad connection on Ranked, especially when specifically filtering for 5 only. The fact that the other player is probably seing everything as smooth because of desync makes it even worse.
I’ve played one ranked match, guy quit out after I beat them. No points earned, no win/ loss going to either of us. Since I’d like my Ranked record to be accurate i’m not touching the mode again until its fixed, casuals until then.
I played someone today by BroTendo and they rage quit on me after getting whooped up. Dude was in silver too, pussy
