Yet another arcade Guilty Gear on the way

see, that exactly misses the point of what i’m saying. people used to complain that “sol needs dust loop in order to get damage” when slash came out. well, that statement stands very true… in #reload. people soon figured out that sol ended up being way better in slash, after putting all his changes into perspective.

so it’s not exactly reliable to to make assumptions by just what we see in current beta tests either. after the first beta test of slash, a lot of people in japan thought that dizzy and johnny were top tier… and a lot of people thought venom was going to be deadly too. in reality, after people figured more about their characters in slash, dizzy began at bottom tier (although she moved up in the followign months) because most people just couldn’t win with her. and despite new gimmicks such as dubious curve doing 3 hits, venom is still stuck in the lower half of the cast due to some crippling changes that people initially overlooked such as his 2d becoming way slower as well as his 6p.

and for your info, it seems like arc system works are trying to cut down on non-tension combos in general… and actually enforce the use of tension to deal fair amount of damage.

people need to stop comparing this game to slash, althouhg that may be a difficult thing to do. the best way to approach it is by throwing out everything you knew about gg before and try to approach it as a new game. that way, you will start seeing the positive lights about it instead of pessimistic stuff.

Just because he doesn’t have Going My Way combos doesn’t mean he sucks.

They’re trying to get the arcade version released in Japan in December.
